Pickleball Court Change Alert
We use these in our Pickleball gym to alert when a court is free. There are eight courts and the gym can get quite noisy at times. We placed one button on each net and when a group completes a game they press the button and then the battery powered doorbell receiver chimes on our court change board. This model will work best because multiple buttons can ring the same doorbell receiver. Not only that, if you want, each button can play a different sound on the chime. We found that using the Song Chimes works a little better than a ding-dong chime just because it plays longer and people notice it. We've had lots of compliments on the system.

What I wanted
I ordered this when the battery went dead on a non-waterproof doorbell. Door is not covered so rain gets on the doorbell. No rain yet, but will be great if it works. Easy install and set up with my existing receiver.

System is good, but this weather proof remote sucks
System is good, but this weather proof remote sucks. When I mounted it with the included screws, you cannot get the cover to close. Spent less than five minutes mounting the other ringers, and over an hour struggling with trying to make this work. These are flat heads, but there still is not enough room to close the cover. Poor design on this one, not to mention you have to remove the motherboard from the unit to change the battery. I'm going to mount it with the included double sticky tape, but don't think that will last. I'm planning on replacing it with one of the regular wireless ringers that can actually be hard mounted to the door frame once the inevitable crash and burn when the tape fails, and keeping my fingers crossed that my eave is enough to keep the weather out for it to function long term.

Outstanding wireless doorbell
Purchased the 2 transmitter/2 receiver expandable system. Needed an extra transmitter to install on garage door which does not have a cover. Rained hard the next day and the system worked perfectly.I have owned 3 other wireless doorbells. All had range and interference problems. Starpoint's system is very easy to setup, expandable and really works (without interference).

Works great with related equipment
Bought this to have a waterproof transmitter to go with SadoTech Model CXRi Portable Wireless Door Bell Kit, Over 50 Chime Tones, over 500 ft Range [1 Remote Button, 1 Plug-In Chime & 1 Battery Powered Chime]. Works great with it. Make sure you follow the instructions about pairing it with the chimes. At first, I thought it wasn't working, but after pairing, everything is working fine. Customer service helped with this. Customer service is fast and helpful.

Tunes unrecognizable with weatherproof version
I purchased the waterproofed transmitter and the receiver separately. This was for the front door which has no overhang or other protection from the weather. And living in Chicagoland, we get weather! Turns out that with the weatherproof transmitter, the melodies do not play properly. It adds a few notes near the beginning. For the simple tones, it's mildly annoying--ding dong becomes ding dong ding dong. But any tune with more than 2 notes becomes unrecognizable. I only bought 1 transmitter and one receiver to try it out. I really need several of each for multiple doors and house floors. But given this flaw, I'd never be able to find 4 different, recognizable tunes. Apparently this system is designed for businesses and apartments which usually have weather protected entrances, not single family homes. It's being returned due to this flaw which seems easily fixable.
