Vinyl Mattress Protector - Zippered, Full Size

Bought this to protect my futon mattress as well as kept a sheet over the top at all times. It was water resistant and did a wonderful job at making a quick cleanup for spills of drinks and such since it was our main furnishing in a college apartment. Only issue I faced with it is that when moving the mattress, the protector was very fragile and tore at the seams in a couple spots. I've owned it for a few years now and it is brittle and rips extremely easy (i have 2 dogs whose nails also caught and ripped it from jumping on and off). If you use it just to protect during traveling I suggest being very gentle and try to avoid catching on sharp objects. Also do NOT carry the mattress by the mattress protector that is how mine tore, must have a good grip on the mattress mass itself. If it is just to protect a bed while in a stationary position I think it would be a wonderful purchase.

We have cats. Elderly cranky cats who revenge-pee. After they destroyed our couch, we replaced it with an inexpensive futon, and ordered this to cover the pad. It's a bit on the thin side, and crinkly. We covered it with a twin-sized duvet cover ($15 here on Amazon) and that reduces the crinkles and makes it comfortable to sit on every day. Unlike the photo there are openings to either side of the zipper (to allow extra room to get it over the mattress) - so if you're looking for bedbug protection, you'll have to tape over the zipper. As pet protection, this does the job for a reasonable price. If the cats claw through it, replacement won't kill the budget.

I purchased this vinyl mattress cover for my 3 year old daughters full size bed not only to protect the brand new mattress from just everyday dust and dirt but my daughter also still wets the bed at times. My daughter has wet the bed twice since we have put it on the mattress, I just removed the sheet and wiped down the mattress cover with no stain or smell to the cover itself. I love it. It was easy to put on but I recommend that your lift the mattress totally off the bed so that your can just slide it down, I would not pull just because I feel you could rip it but the vinyl is very strong and I love that it closes with a zipper. Would recommend to anyone who is just buying a mattress and wants to protect and keep it clean from dust, body ect... love this product and would buy many more.

Nothing fancy here, but it's very effective. This is basically a vinyl case for your mattress, with a zipper closure. This protector is effective at keeping undesirable things from contacting your mattress, which helps extend its life. Clean-up after "accidents" is easy, because the vinyl can be wiped down. This protector is vinyl - no cushy material or padding on top. For our purposes that works great, because if there were fabric surfaces, the protector would have to be removed and laundered. If you prefer something more plush, you might want to add some padding under or over the protector, but that would be for comfort only. Functionally this works great.

I would have given it 5 stars if the material were a little thicker, but it did the job. We were careful putting it on the mattress and there were no problems. We ordered it for a large-size bed and it fit the mattress with a bit of room to spare. I've even moved the mattress a few times, holding it by the rope handles *under* the plastic protector, and it held up under the strain. In use, it's doing the job and is comfortable (under a fabric pad). If I needed another one, I would order the same.

I purchased the vinyl mattress cover because my cat has peed on my bed three times over the past year (we recently moved), and I didn't want to have to worry about the mattress getting cat urine in it (that smell never goes away). I've got two sheets over the vinyl cover, because otherwise it's a little crinkly, but it's been working great. No cat pee to test it yet (thankfully), but now I can rest a little easier knowing that if there is another incident, it won't damage my mattress, and it'll be easier to clean up.

A 0 star product. I bought this because of all the similar products on Amazon.com it actually had the highest review. I want a full bed cover (doesn't even have to be vinyl), specifically one that covers the bottom of the bed not just the top. I have a very expensive futon mattress that is currently sitting directly on the floor because I am now too poor to afford any kind of frame. To my surprise it seems like such a product is nearly non existent as the only thing I could find that comes close to what I'm imagining are these cruddy vinyl mattress protectors. As soon as I took it out of the bag, I could tell this was not a good product. It was flimsy and felt kind of like those plastic table clothes you get at Party City. As soon as I tried to put it around the mattress (which is very heavy and difficult to lift) it began to rip. I don't just mean little rips. If I tried to pull on it even lightly, it shreds to ribbons. That's right. This p.o.s. tears more easily than a grocery bag or a garbage bag. I'm actually thinking now of taping some heavy duty garbage bags together and making my own version, which should be about 100x better and stronger than this crap. Oh, the irony...

I bought this cover for my 4-year old daughter's mattress. It fits great and it's durable. It has already saved me from having to scrub urine and vomit out of the mattress, and it wipes clean very easily. While it's not a perfect product, it does exactly what is required for the price. I was wary because so many others said the plastic has an unbearable odor, but it's really no worse than a brand new shower curtain and it only took about a day before it aired out enough that I could no longer smell it.
