The nuts are 11mm not 10mm as stated on here & stamped on the item
I wanted there to tension a wire, I found later the clamp does not go to the top leaving a fair gap twice the size of my line. If you have thick wire etc these will be fine though having heaps of spanners finding an 11mm was elusive.

Good fit
I got these clips as we need to put an extension piece in our bell rope (not wire rope). WE haven't managed to do the repair yet but I tested them on the new piece of rope and they seem to hold.

Does the job they are designed for
used to hold the hook on the 12 tonne winch on the front of my defender 90. took three of the clamps to cope with the full pulling power but no problems. Still have 3 left :-)
