Reach back with both hands and grasp the side rails, with one hand on each side. <3b> . Slowly lean back until the unit rests on the floor with your body on top of it, the lower portion of your back directly on the arch. <4b> . Shaped like a real back!
I love this thing! I had been using one of the typical arched units that you find all over Amazon, but it does not have the proper curvature. This one does. It is an aggressive stretch, but once I relax and everything quits popping and cracking it feels just wonderful. The bumpy parts are a bit uncomfortable, but I put a towel over it to mellow that out. The little ball bearings are spring loaded, so they add a bit of compliance as well. I think the magnet part is just mythology, but it can't hurt. One huge advantage over the arch type stretchers is that there is nothing protruding at the bottom to dig into my hip bones. My single complaint is that it digs into my shoulder blades a bit up at the top. Again, I can add padding to fix the issue. Once I get relaxed, I can take a nap on the thing. I suffer from horrific RLS, but it does not flare up while I am on the stretcher. It does require assembly, but it only took about 5 minutes to put together.

Great for people who sit long periods
I work 10 hr shifts, from home sitting down. On my breaks I lay on this for 5 minutes, and it’s been a game changer. Personally I find it very comfortable and relaxing. I have noticed way less back pain. I definitely recommend for this purpose. I can’t attest for how helpful it is if you have a spinal injury, as my pain was just from sitting long periods. I lay on it and instantly hear and feel my back crack. You really feel the stretching of the spine, but it has never been in a painful way.

Not complicated but tricky assembly
I have used the product a few times and it does help stretch my back. It is hard plastic so it is a little uncomfortable until you get used to it (and your back loosens a little. Assembly was not complicated (six screws), but had to get all the arms aligned and in the holes at the same time. Once together it is pretty sturdy. Forget the instructions! It was a really BAD translation and frankly made no sense. Overall, it works!

The screws for this product will not hold it together and it does not stay without them.
It is difficult to stay assembled and.keeps calling apart. I purchased additional one for a gift and they do not like it not being able to remain intact. I wish I had not picked it for gift giving. It's frustrating.

Invest your money in something else
This product came with ZERO instructions on how to assemble it. It was just a box filled with pieces and screws. The product itself is extremely uncomfortable. Did not ease pain at all. Overall, just a terrible product. Please do not waste your money on this product. If you are looking to relieve back pain, I recommend stretching, do not sit for long periods of time, and invest in a posture brace for your back. These will help you.

Inexpensive and great at its intended use!
Not the most comfortable back massager, but definitely works to stretch and get in deep to relieve aches and pain. I try to lie down on mine every night before bed for around 5-10 minutes. I'm not waking up with as much lower back pain since I've been using it.

Not good enough
The points on which you need to lie down and "massage" are too sharp, so I had to put a towel over them.

Beware: Has to be assembled.
Oh my gosh. This has to be assembled. It’s plastic. I’m on vacation. I don’t have a screwdriver. Now I got to go to the store to be able to assemble it. I didn’t see that in the fine print. Once I finally get it together I’m hoping it works! Boo!
