In an era that prizes freshness above all, it makes sense that weÕd hold our hair products to the same standard as, say, our daily dose of green juice. This easy-to-whip-up treatment from the pro salon brand activates right before your eyes, so you know that itÕs working at peak levels right when you apply it. And yes, weÕll admit to a somewhat geeky fascination with watching the chemical reaction unfold. The gluten- and paraben-free formula goes to work immediately to repair yearsÕ worth of hair damage, leaving strands lustrous, hydrated, and full of healthy bounce.

My goal when I purchased it was to hydrate my hair and get it in great shape since I color it every 5 weeks
This conditioner has really transformed my hair!! My goal when I purchased it was to hydrate my hair and get it in great shape since I color it every 5 weeks. This conditioner is the only one I've tried that I felt like actually worked!

Performs but ingredient issues
I have long, ultra baby fine, highlighted hair. My hair is dry from being processed, but it gets weighed down by sufficiently heavy conditioners. I got a sample of this at a beauty event in LA, so I've been trying out the various products f k my gift bag. I figured the foam this supposedly created was hype to make this seem like it was doing something special when it was really a typical deep conditioner. Instead, it's a product that quickly lathers into foam and does not feel like a nourishing conditioner when on your hair. I kept thinking it was a hot mess while I forced myself to wait 5 mins for a rinse. Fast forward to blow drying (without any additional products) with my dryer from Dry Bar, and I have deliciously soft, supple, silky smooth hair. BUT, while using, I noticed a smell that was faintly ammonia or formaldehyde-like. Recalling all the news stories about the Brazilian straightening treatments and formaldehyde, I started getting suspicious of the ingredients and the chemical reaction created through the combination of ingredients. This product contains quaternium-7 (which the EWG database is not a fan of for suspected toxicity). A similar compound, quaternium-15, can release formaldehyde. Thus, I am not confident whatsoever that what I put on my head is not in fact a chemical (or chemical reaction) that I want to be soaking in for a while every week, especially if I get pregnant. Use at your own discretion, but if you do, take a whiff of the stuff in your palms and you'll see what I mean.

Amazing results for dry, curly hair
My hair is soft and nourished after using this one time and I have continued to use it once a week. Great for chemically treated or dyed hair, also for curly hair.
