I can still recommend the CF card reader after 6 months of use. Good value for the money. It works just fine, is very fast and reliable. The Aluminum housing seems robust. Never had any temperature issues that some mentioned here. I mainly use it for reading out Sony CF Express Cards that I use with my Canon R5. Works great with Mac and iPad Pro. Lightroom for iPad is even recognizing the CF card in this reader as a camera device, that’s convenient. Transferring a huge amount of high resolution pictures or HQ 4K videos is super fast and doesn’t compare to old SD card set ups.

The built is awesome, I like the feel of this card reader. I bought CFExpress card for my Nikon D500 and I had no way to read the data from the card. This reader does the job perfectly, but I am not sure why it heats up so much when I plug it to my computer. Other than that, it is a nice product.

this product is cheaper than most cfexpress readers, but as others have said is a really nice product. The transfer speed seems faster than I'd expect, which is likely a function of cfexpress tech more than the reader. I'm not needing to test speeds, but I'd say the lag for video transfer is trivial.the build quality is remarkable, it's compact yet a nice chunk of solid aluminum. i appreciate the included cables. I have no idea why anyone would buy anything more expensive!

My original reader failed after about 14 months and I bought this as a replacement. At the time I didn’t realize that I was buying the same product. When it works, it works great and seems really sturdy. But electronics without moving parts shouldn’t fail so quickly.

Working as expected. Runs a little warm if left plugged in for an extended period.

I am kicking myself that I didn’t buy this reader sooner. It takes half the amount of time to upload my images 🙏

Using a Lexar professional card.Very slow, transfer to my PC was painful and it hung up/locked my computer several times. Transferring images directly from my R5 via USB C cable is 100X faster.Updating 9.27.24, beyond being extremely slow this reader errors out transfer the smallest group of files. 42 raw images failed three times in the card reader. I placed the card back into the R3 and transfer the files in a couple minutes. I would not purchase again or recommend it to anyone!

I sometimes shoot thousands of images a day as I am a full time shooter who does sports and event photography. I always try to get back after the event and load all the images (so they are backed up and ready to process) and this certainly makes that process faster. Love the way the card snaps into the reader. I know its securely in. My speeds were great for my computer aa the cable quality was good but the cable length is quite long.Bottom line, its significantly faster than any card reader I have had before and was not even certain I would see speeds half this high on my computer and cabling.You might want to prep and have a longer cable ready as it just ships with short ones.

Posso capire che la consegna viene effettuata più rapidamente ma pagarne due anzichè uno mi sembra assolutamente eccessivo. ormai l'ho comprato e sul sito cinese l'ho visto dopo, ma se dovessi comprarlo oggi non lo acquisto su amazon di certo.

I use this to transfer 8K (All I) Footage from my Sandisk 512GB CFexpress card and it works a treat. Very fast transfer speeds via usb C or USB A 3.0 port. I have also been able to use it with my iPad Pro M1 2021 to transfer footage straight to LumaFusion and it works a treat. The card fits nicely and gives you a good satisfying click once its securely in place. Its very well built and feels sturdy, not cheap plastic! It does get hot and so does the card but that is to be expected when you are transferring over a gigabyte a second. I disconnect it once I finish transferring data to increase longevity of the reader and the card. A great product at a very affordable price.

je l'utilise pour lire une carte lexar compact flash expess B. je m'en sert seulement depuis quelques jours ça marche très bien très rapide en USB.3. étanche je ne sais pas , ça a l'air solide , de toute façon ça reste sur un bureau a part tomber çà ne risque rien
