JETech Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 inch Tablet with Auto Sleep/Wake Feature, Black

Good tablet case for a great price. Somewhat basic, only one option for folding over to put on viewing mode but that's no biggie for me. I like the low profile fit if it, much better than the bulky leather one I had before. Feels like good quality materials and offers decent protection, though I wouldn't go dropping your tablet from a height to test it. Works for my needs anyway!

I purchased the this case for my Galaxy Tab A 9.7 after my previous Fintie case broke at the corners near the S-Pen cutout where it was at its weakest , something that's an issue with a lot of Galaxy Tab A cases with the S-Pen cutout and its hard to find cases without one (my tablet is the base model without the S-Pen). So after doing a lot of research wading through reviews , I settled on this case, even though it does have the S-Pen cutout.Design----------- One of my primary considerations for a new case was a sturdier frame because the S-Pen cutout right at the corner make them structurally weak and prone to breaking. And in this respect I am satisfied with the JETech case as its thicker and appears more rigid on the top right corner (where the S-Pen cutout is) than my previous Fintie case- The inner sides of the case which contact the tablet's front and back side is lined with soft velvet like material which does not scratch or smudge the screen- The front flap is a Tri-Fold smart cover (Like the Apple iPad Smart Cover) which means its very easy to use it as a stand in the landscape mode- The flaps also has magnets which activate the auto-sleep fuction of the tab without any issuesThe Good-------------- The matte PU leather material feels soft and nice to touch , it does not feel cheap or flimsy in any way- The magnets in the front flap are strong enough not to fall under their own weight- The Volume key, SD card cutouts allow for easy access- The back portion of the case is hard plastic shell which gives your table good protection- On the included warranty card its mentioned that you get a free iPhone lightning cable for registering the product on their website , I got mine in about a week (Not sure on how long this promotion will last though)- InexpensiveThe Not So Good------------------------- Because the Tri-Fold front flap is designed like the Apple Smart cover, while its very easy to use it as a kickstand in the landscape mode, its hard to use as a stand in the potrait mode. And the Galaxy Tab A is more oriented to the portrait mode with its 4:3 Aspect ratio. For this reason I take away 1 starFinal Thoughts-----------------Overall I can definitely recommend this case to you as its inexpensive , sturdy even with the S-Pen cutout and provides good protection for the Galaxy Tab A. Just keep in mind that using the case as a stand in the portrait mode is pretty much unusable.

This is just your basic case for the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 with S Pen. Yes, it has a slit for the pen to come in and out and yes, it protects the corners with a durable plastic case. I really wanted to get a Roocase Origami Case that folds for portrait viewing, but it didn't look like they made one for the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 w/ S Pen. This was my next best choice, so I decided to go this route instead. The case is made of a faux leather material IDK. It's nice and has a good grip. The flap that folds over is enough to cover the screen with good protection. The only flaw in the case design, is that when you fold and close the tablet, the flap, when pressed down hard enough, actually presses the home button. That is because the home button is ever so slightly raised from the surface of the tablet. It doesn't however turn it on or anything, but if this is something that you will be OCD about then perhaps you'd like to find a different case? It does not bother me, and I am actually go to be getting a Zagg InvisableShield HD Glass Screen Protector, which will raise the surface of the tablet to about a half a millimeter so that will probably fix it. As a matter of fact, I have another Galaxy Tablet, the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 to be exact, and it had the same issue. But when I applied one of these screen protectors (Zagg InvisableShield) the problem went away, and when I would close the flap on the case it wouldn't press down the home button anymore. So there you are. I gave it a full 5 star case, because it is an awesome, classy looking, basic protective case for the Galaxy Tab A 9.7.

I bought this case for a Samsung A tablet that my wife gave me after I bought her a new A7 10" tablet for Mother's Day (in advanced). In the past, she struggled with finding a good case for her old tablet that would fit, only finding generic and low quality cases with adjustable bands or tabs that would not hold the tablet correctly.After she game me her old tablet, I was able to find this case from JETech, which promised to fit the Samsung A (mine happens to be model SM-T550). To my satisfaction, it does what it promised. Obviously this case is not like an original Samsung case with the locking buttons and adjustable flaps, but it does hold the tablet perfectly with good protection, with a front flap that can be turned into itself to create a reasonably stable base that stays put on top of a table (just not on a belly). In summary, this is a low-cost tablet case that gets the job done. I am very happy with the purchase.I do want to offer a recommendation to all readers who are looking for a case for your Samsung tablet: find out first the part number associated to your Samsung tablet, because even among tables of the same model you may have differences. You can find the part number by visiting Settings and then About This Product or This Tablet (or the equivalent in Android). My wife struggled with finding a good case for her old Samsung A because she was looking for tablet cases in general instead of a case for a SM-T550.
