I wish this had of been longer
After reading Screwed, I couldn't wait to start this one. Gracie is Hayden's little sister, although in her early 20's, she's not so little anymore. She's been in love with Hayden's best friend Hudson all her life practically. He used to do everything for her and was so sweet to her until one day, he backed off and things were never the same between them.It was easy to see why he backed off, even before Hudson during his POV explained. When Gracie grew up and developed a woman's body. He was so drawn to her and attracted to her, he couldn't be around her because he knew his friend would kill him if he touched Hayden's little sister. That is until she decides she wants to find someone to take her virginity which she considers a bit of a noose around her neck now. Teasing Hudson with talk of dating sites and unknown men to remove her of that pesky virginity.....Will he take the bait??Over all, I loved this. Hudson is gorgeous and really a good guy. Gracie is sweet, intelligent and determined to go after what she wants. The only thing that made this a 4 star read for me rather than 5 was the length. Yes the author makes it clear it's only a novella, but it was going so beautifully, then it jumped forward so dramatically and I kind of felt cheated out of watching the relationship develop. There were questions I couldn't get answered and it just was disappointing not to have had a little more to the story. I loved it, but I just wanted more....

a quick romantic read
Monster Prick is a perfect, quick pick me up if you're in a reading slump.Gracie has wanted her brothers best friend Hudson for what seems like forever. Having grown up with him in her life, she's always crushed on him, but things changed as she got older and Hudson started to pull away. Now that Gracie is grown up and wants to turn in her "V" card, she thinks going online to meet someone to help her with that is the best solution. Hudson is not in agreement with Gracie's idea, and offers himself up instead.Since this novella is told in a dual point of view, we see that Hudson has wanted Gracie for a while also, but she's his best friends little sister, and things could go wrong if it didn't work out for them. When they agreed the three "dates" I knew that wasn't going to be enough for either of these characters. They have been lusting after one another for far too long, and needed this experiment to see that they are truly mean to be.Gracie and Hudson are HOT together, their chemistry is off the charts, and their banter back and forth is quite hilarious. I adored seeing them work through their feelings and Gracie losing her "v" card. Seeing how they end up was beautiful, and the epilogue was perfect. I just wish this book was a bit longer. I would have loved to see more of what happened between the end and the epilogue. All in all, Monster Prick is a quick fun read that will have you swooning, laughing, and falling in love.

3 out of 5 Stars
Monster Prick is a novella sequel to Screwed by Kendall Ryan which I had reviewed here. It is a fairly short read so I won't make this a huge review.Monster Prick deals with Gracie Oliver, who is Hayden Oliver's little sister. Hayden was the main character from Screwed , so we already know how protective he is of his little sis. But we also get to know more about Hudson Stone, who is Hayden's business partner and best friend. And obviously, the book is a cliché'd best-friend's little sister romance. Better even, it is also a type of i'll-help-you-loose-your-virginity-in-a-selfless-gesture-and-teach-you-the-joys-of-sex in the style of The Deal and Beautiful Player .I was actually quite excited about it, but after the short read, I must say that the book was not overly impressive. It was a nice read, but just didn't stand out from the crowd in my opinion. It mainly felt rushed, and probably a tad too predictable. It actually just felt like a déjà-vu. I might be a bit harsh because it's difficult to "satisfy me" given all the books I've read in the past 3 years but in summary, I'd say you can give it a try, but don't expect this to knock you off your socks.

Awesomely sweet
It must be hard growing up loving someone you think you can never have, with a connection and chemistry that's really hard to ignoreHudson n Hayden have been best friends their whole lives. Hudson has always felt protective of Haydens little sister Gracie and they were always close till Gracie starts to look like a woman.....Hudson wants her but he thinks he can't have her because of her brother so he pulls back n turns into a meanwhileGracie has been in love with Hudson since she was four yrs old and it was hard watching him sleep with every woman he came in contact with so she decides she's got to grow up and get her life moving in the right directionWhen she tells her brother and his bff about her plans on dating and finally giving up her V-card Hudson is angry but schemes up a plan of his own that will rock both their worlds

Sometime You Need To Cross The Line
“I swallow back the urge to touch her. Smell her, taste her…stop it, Hudson. I’m noticing everything about Gracie and I can’t turn it off. What happens when the girl you have wanted for years decides it is time to give up the V-card to the first man she is planning to date? You simply choose to be the man to date her, right? But what if that girl just happens to be your best friend's little sister? Sometimes you just have to be willing to be a prick and cross the line."You're going to be the end of me, you know that right?" he whispers. In this quick little novella, Kendall Ryan continued to build a set of characters with passionate chemistry, satisfying interest, and plenty of heat. Although the plot is predicable and the story just a little too short for my liking (I wanted more Hudson and Gracie), readers will still be swooning and cheering on Hudson as he and Gracie discover that sometimes you simply need to go after the things you want most in life! That sometimes...lines are meant to be crossed.A great read that can be read as a standalone or in conjunction with Screwed.

Well that’s what happened with this one, I knew I should of read the first book before this one & I closed this one and opened the other one but I had to go back to this one I couldn’t stop reading 😏 I love and hate books when it comes to them always of having feelings for them but they don’t act on them because just like in this my heart fell and I literally felt it in my stomach when she was thinking about the times she listened to him going on about his other conquests like I FELT THAT 😩 I loved how he’d cared for her when she was younger but then I was like Hudson you’re an idiot 🤦🏼♀️😂 ... I honestly thought they’d be a phase where she was heartbroken because he’d let her go before he realised he couldn’t live without out her (total cliche) but I’m so happy that he literally knew he couldn’t let her go at all again. 😍

Steamy, Sizzling Romance between girl and big brothers best friend!
INITIAL THOUGHTSSo I believe in being 100% honest in my reviews so I must admit to being a little skeptical about whether or not I would truly enjoy this book or not. So why did I go ahead and buy it then? Well something about the characters came through via the blurb that. . .and I know this sounds corny. . .but here goes . . . something about the characters sort of called out to me, and then it seemed every bookish place I went this novella quite literally popped up, I was asked to take part the Release Day Launch by Inkslinger Blogger PR, (which I did) so I just went ahead and bought myself a copy to read and review!MY REVIEWAs I explained above in my "Initial Thoughts" I purchased an e-copy of this book from Amazon.co.uk to read and review for my blog. The cover shows a guy in a smart looking suit with lipstick on his collar, which I'd guess is telling us the reader that this guy is a bit of a "player", a different girl every week type of guy.The title is Monster Prick which could be loaded with innuendo depending on how you view the book after reading it, I can't say much more about the title without giving away too much about the book. Would the cover of the book make me pick this one up in a book store? Mmm that's a difficult one, if I am totally honest the title would most likely put me off, but for some reason when I saw this book online, in an e-mail about an event for it, I did go ahead despite the cover and read the blurb. It was the blurb that sold me the book and the fact the book felt like it was a little out of my usual comfort zone/usual genre of reading. So now to the actual review of the book.... I should also explain that I have not yet read Screwed, so I went into this novella not knowing anything about it's character's backgrounds at all. The main characters in this book that the plot centres on are Gracie, her older brother Hayden and his best friend Hudson. As Hudson is her brothers best friend she has grown up with him in her life and has always compared any prospective boyfriend material to him. To say she has a slight crush on Hudson is an understatement. Hudson has always had a soft spot for Gracie but never really thought of her in terms of a possible girlfriend for a few reasons. The first is that he is a more "love 'em, and leave 'em" kind of guy and he honestly wouldn't want to hurt Gracie. Also he is in business with Gracie's brother Hayden and a relationship with her could potentially ruin their business and friendship too. Hudson readily admits that he would describe himself as an arrogant prick where sex and relationship[s are concerned. It's during a friendly social meeting that Gracie reveals she is looking for a guy online not only to date but one worthy of her giving her virginity to. Gracie wants someone to discover what she likes and wants sexually as well as her ideal guy for a relationship with. When Hudson hears of Gracie's plan he experiences a multitude of emotions, he is horrified, possessive and jealous by the thought of a guy she has met online being the one she bestows her virginity too and promptly makes a proposition she will find extremely hard to refuse. Hudson wants to be the one to take Gracie's virginity! No, he is not offering a relationship of any sort just "doing the deed" and a few sex lessons!Gracie is initially apprehensive about actually "doing the deed" with Hudson, sure he is her "ideal man" and she has always been a little in love with him for years. . .but what would her brother Hayden think? When Hudson reassures her he can give her three lessons and that it can remain their secret, she pushes aside her worries of seriously falling for him and ending up hurt and decides to go for it. Gracie's friends warn her she will only end up getting hurt when she has to walk away from Hudson at the end of her "lessons".So the lesson's begin and wow! soon both Gracie and Hudson are getting deeper and deeper tangled into each others lives, sending flirty texts to each other and taking risks if they are seen together in public. What would Hayden say and do if he knew that his best friend was both teaching and having sex with his little sister? It soon becomes apparent that Gracie is falling helplessly head over heels in love with Hudson. . . . . and what are these new strange feelings that Hudson is experiencing for the first time ever with a woman.Could their arrangement develop into something more? Both have worries and keep them to themselves thinking the other would not want their secret deal to become a more permanent public relationship for everyone to know about. So how do they tell Hayden who already suspects that Hudson may have met "the one" but can't quite understand why his friend is keeping such an important person to him hidden from his best friend. Hayden and Hudson are used to sharing all aspects of their business and private life with each other, so it's natural for Hayden to feel a little concerned and curious about this mystery woman who seems to have captured his best mates heart. Hayden is now happily in a relationship with Emery, his dream girl, whom he met in Book One Screwed and he would love both his Hudson and sister Gracie to find someone perfect for themselves too.I feel I should add that their are some fairly explicit and descriptive scenes in the book, but they are in the context of the plot and not just for shock value. So I wouldn't classify it as erotica though I have noticed that some readers on Goodread's have done so. Personally I would say the book is aimed at an NA/Adult contemporary romance target audience. So did I enjoy in this novella? I really loved it! Yes, it was a little steamier and more explicit in parts than I would normally read. Having said that I loved the emotion within this book. the true friendship between Hayden and Hudson. I adored the fact that Hudson was worried about what Hayden would think, say and do if he found out about the "secret" and what he was up to with Gracie. Would I recommend this novella? I would, especially for the NA and Adult audience. Would I want to read more in this series? Yes, this novella has made me super curious about Hayden and emery and their story so I have purchased it to read as soon as I get the time. Would I want to read more by Kendall Ryan? As I said in the previous question, I do intend to read Screwed when i get the time, and I will also be looking at other titles by this author too.

I want more.
This was a great Novella. It had all the elements in it. The characters were great, I felt like i had know them as long as they had know each other, which makes it so much easier to get into a novella. The typical forbidden fruit here, having grown up together, two best friends, and a little sister. Although not a huge age gap. Anyway. Feelings were pushed down on Hudsons part, as this is his best friend's sister??? So No way, and now she wants to go dating to lose her Virginity? Seriously. Not a chance. Hudson to the rescue! Chivalry is not dead!Well...at first I was wondering where the title was coming from, was it the size of his Monster prick, was it his attitude as a teenager? or was it some of his actions during the book? I thought a mix of all three. But he was a great guy and I do love him really, I forgave him for not spending a bit more time before going for it on the first date!!!! As he did make up for it afterwards. The ending came as a bit of a shock, I was expecting a bit more of Hayden, so I think I was a little disappointed there, I wanted more!! I loved the epilogue, i teared up, I feel this could have been longer i really do. It would have been so ahhhhhh as I love Hudson and Gracie.

Shirt story, rushed and lacks depth
This looked really good, after purchase it is so rushed you finish the book in 45mins, it's a short story. It lacks depth content and there is no real build up to a relationship or the aftermath. What a huge disappointment and waste of £1.99

Rushed
There was so much more that could have been included in this book. The brother's reaction for one. The families finding out about the relationship. Their history. Instead it is all glossed over, giving it a rushed feel.

Good quick read.
I enjoyed this, especially as it was linked to Hayden's story. It was short, sexy and sweet. I would have liked a bit more at the end though. The ending felt too abrupt for me.
