AuroraBottled Ink Refill - Blue 125B

This is one of my favorite blue inks. It is a rich blue with nice flow properties...it is by no means a dry ink. I find that it is well behaved on many paper with no feathering or bleeding issues on good to medium quality papers. This ink has good saturation but is pretty easy to clean out of my pens....usually highly saturated inks are hard to clean but not this one.The tall and thin bottle is a great design because more depth allows me to fill my pens more easily when I get near to the end of the bottle.The blue is quite dark and does have a bit of purple in it but I find that it is perfectly acceptable for my work in a formal office.Aurora only makes two ink colors, blue and black, and I have found them to be of excellent quality and consistency. There are other ink companies that make 50+ inks (Diamine for instance) and while many are good quality it's harder to insure the safeness of 50 different products which is why I trust Aurora inks.

Aurora ink was recommended to me by the Pen Doctor at a fountain pen store in Washington, DC. I've used it for three years and love the deep blue color and smooth flow. It's a wetter ink than others I've used. Only possible draw back: it's available only in blue, black, and blue-black colors, but that's fine with me. Strongly recommended!

Aurora inks are the best. Plain and simple. They are a perfect medium viscosity that unless you just have a crazy pen will make it work great, it never skips, and they are about the truest colors that you will find. A shame they only make blue and black. The adage of only do one or two things and do them right is exactly where Aurora went with this one. They made the two most commonly used colors and made them absolutely perfect. Well done Aurora.

A lot of people are hardcore about their fountain pen ink. I am not one of them. If you are, check out what is available on the internet. For me the Aurora blue was a blue which appealed to my senses of what blue should be on paper. If flows nicely out of my Lamy Persona. The bottle is nice and your get a fair amount for the money. The seller shipped quick.

I wanted some Aurora ink to put in my beautiful new Aurora pen!That is just what came in the mail, and I am pleased. It writes inkily and beautifully.It was sent from Brooklyn and arrived at my home in San Francisco just as I was spending a few days with my wife and friends in Brooklyn! Quel coincidence!And did I mention that as blue ink it rocks?

The quality and true blue color of this ink has not changed at all. Purchase arrived quickly and undamaged.

Wicks immediately. Doesn't dry in the pen tip.

It's just okay. Didn't notice anything about it that would make it any better than any other ink I've tried. Am using it in a vintage Sheaffer fine point fountain pen desk set.
