I Love the heart shaped.

I ordered two and they both arrived together in two weeks, 14 days, instead of the predicted 26 to 40 days. They are solid shiney brass and chromed steel shackle from China but they are well-made, high quality and come with faster delivery than expected. I will engrave our own initials to make them more personal.I wish we had found these before going on our European River Cruise last October as many small towns with bridges had lover's locks but not this nice and we could have locked them in a couple of places or towns (Amsterdam has many locks on many bridges) and left our mark where it did not matter or hurt or permanently disfigure something. Several pros: brass and chrome do not rust in the rain, you can engrave these with a scratch, Dremel tool, or home vibrating engraver for free and personalize it, or have it done professionally, and it only locks in the hole once and there is no key (it would have to be cut off and can be if needed easily with bolt cutters. I recommend these locks for permanent one-time use, would buy them again, and I hope this helps Someone! You only need one as you can see there are two hearts but order this well before you go to Europe.

The only complaint I have was with the projected 30 day delivery time. Nowhere on the product details does Amazon disclose this. I needed it in three weeks for an event and was very disappointed when it shipped with a projected date well after the event was over. Unbelievably it came in the mail in only 8 days so I do not know how to advise anyone on how to plan for this item's delivery.Delivery issues aside, it is a nice looking item for $5 and larger than I expected (assumed it was tiny but it is the size of an average padlock). There was no warning on the packaging that once locked it cannot be reopened (a sticker noting this should be added), but it is clearly stated at the end of the product description so no real complaint there.I am looking forward to using it on my upcoming Paris trip. I have been told the French hate us for snapping these sappy locks all over their beautiful bridges.

To the 1 star reviewers who are complaining about no key... That is the point of this lock! You are locking it someplace permanently to symbolize your love forever to someone. This is more common in Europe, especially Paris, where they sell them on the street everywhere. See my picture attached to this review near Notre Dame on a bridge at Pont Neuf over the Seine where they have an entire scaffolding of them for people to lock locks to while looking at the Eiffel tower. You can write on it with a Sharpie if you want, or otherwise engrave. Lock it wherever you want. And if it doesn't work out, there's always bolt cutters!

I bought this lock as a love lock. It does not have a key so once its locked it will not open until it breaks or is cut. It is sturdy and a good size.

My new bride and I bought this to put on a local fence downtown where we "locked" our love in place. It suprisingly had a heavy duty feel to it,and not cheaply made. And it did come with a stopper to prevent the lock from locking. We had it engraved at a local retail store. It engraves very well and looks professional. When we were ready to put it on the love fence, we removed the stopper. Everyone was complimenting us on the lock and asked where we got it.*** Be forewarned.. this lock does EXACTLY as it says... It only locks ONCE. The item that came with it does NOT unlock it. There is NO KEY.

It’s a good lock and does its job for a lock bridge! Note it’s not a real lock so there’s no key and once you lock it can’t be undone. The only thing keeping it from locking when shipped to you is a rubber stopper.

Right off the top, please know that the pic in this review is not our order. What we ordered/received were two brass locks with long necks. We ordered them to engrave to put on the London Bridge in Arizona for our 40th wedding anniversary. They were perfect with smooth brass bodies that had plenty of room to engrave. No keys, but it will never be removed anyway.
