👷🏼♂️👍🏻👍🏻
My husband has had this hardhat twice now. The first time he ordered the standard size and it lasted him almost five years of occasional use and still looked new. It was maxed out (on the loosest setting) and gave him headaches until he realized they made a large size. The large fits him perfectly (he normally wears 7 3/4 in fitted baseball hats). It functions as it should for a hardhat and is well-made. He prefers this style over all others; in fact, it allows him to express his individuality while at work and stand out from a crowd of standard white hardhats. Pricey as heck (almost double what we paid five years ago) but you can't put a price on safety!

A good hard hat!
So I work for a small iron working company and this is the hardhat that my boss and general foreman recommended me to buy. My boss had something fall from the rafters of this building that hit him cracked his hardhat and left him unconscious but he survived! So I mean if that isn't a recommendation I don't know what is!I like it I just wish the headgear came preinstalled because it's annoying to install and didn't really come with directions so I went over to YouTube university.. then I couldn't get the little grommets to go in so I ended up grabbing my general foreman being like here put this in!!! We always reverse the headgear.. honestly that's personal preference although it's not intended to be that way.One problem though I do notice is it likes to shift on your head where the little sliders are where you can adjust how big your head is (not the ratchet in the back but the sliders on the side also where you can control how deep your head sits). But I just kind of manhandle it until it wants to be straight on my head.Very nice ratchet for the back of it! I wish my welding head gear was that nice.Another thing I wish msa would come out with is welding gear attachments where you can attach a clear shield or welding hood to it. (although don't make it ugly like Dewalt and Milwaukee). My boss has had his same hardhat since I want to say 2018 is the stamp.Technically hardhats do expire! Four years after the stamped date (The little compass looking stamp). I tell him but his old one has memories...personally I like the forehead strap cushion because when you sweat it's easy to clean instead of foam/fabric where it gets really stinky and itchy after a while.

Wish I had bought one years ago.
I have always worn either a fiber-metal p1 or p2 roughneck depending on the job I was doing. And this is much more comfortable to me and to me it feels much lighter. When I got it in the mail it had been taken out of the plastic bag and the bag was inside the hard hat, no big deal to me I'm guessing it was done prior to shipping to inspect for damage prior to shipping. A good practice because it can save money and prevent a aggravated customer. I saw comments on Sharpie marks on the hard hat. Well I have a couple of stickers inside my hard hat but you can still see the Sharpie marks and if you compare them to other pictures you'll notice they are the same color Sharpie and rough location. That tells me that they are not from prior use but most likely inspection marks. Yes the certification sticker is bubbled on mine to but I also posted a picture of a brand new 3M hard hat that is exactly the same. Try to put a flat sticker on a round object and you will understand. As for the date of manufacture unless I am reading the picture I included from a MSA pdf wrong mine was made in July of 19 and that would coincide with the date of manufacture on the suspension which is 08/19. That still gives me plenty of years of use. One last thing I have had a V-Gaurd before with the fas-trac suspension and they can be tricky to get to set comfortably but once you understand them it's a breeze.
