I bought other wormcastings before, which all came in a plastic bag. They tend to have more moisture..In fact, one was actually wet and clump together. This one came in a sealed paper bag. It has much less moisture so it is easier to spread onto the plant. My plants seem to like it. They started to give out new shoots within a few days of the application. The curious thing is, I saw a life worm wriggling in the bag. Are they supposed to be there? That is why I give the product a 3 stars, pending a response from the seller.Received response from the seller. Apparently, the live worm was acceptable to be found along with the wormcasting. I do not object to it, but would definitely use this product outdoor.

I thought I was purchasing worm castings and only worm castings. When I received the bag and opened it up and poured it out, it appears to mostly be broken up wood fibers. I've purchased worm castings from other brands and have even produced my own and this has clearly been been mixed with some kind of wood fibers, looks similar to cypress mulch. If you're just wanting worm castings DO NOT buy this product.
