Nice for home defense- it's very sturdy, all one tough piece
While this bat is light-weight, it's rather top-heavy, making it feel much heavier - but that means it can also hit much harder.It's 1 solid piece of near-unbreakable polypropylene plastic. There's really no room for anything to go wrong with this product.It's completely water-proof, and even floats when submerged. (This was tested in our pool.) There are no openings to be concerned about and even the text printed on the bat manages to stay clean and undisturbed.Dirt wipes off easily.Even using it to "deconstruct" some pieces of my old furniture, the only damage the bat has is a very small scratch from where it had made contact with a nail. Even that is unnoticeable thanks to the wood-grain texture of the bat.It doesn't absorb shock as well as conventional bats, so if you were going to use this for batting practice or dragon slaying, I would definitely recommend grip-tape.

Heavy and durable.
I have turned this bat into a self defense tool, and it now looks more like a medieval club than a baseball bat.I had to cut several sections off of the bat in order to find just the right length. I then drilled and epoxied a four inch spike (from of an old awl) and added 14 stainless steel spikes (track shoe spikes) around the working end of the bat.The overall length is now 22 inches. It swings good and it grips good in my hand, while still being heavy enough to do what it needs to do.

Indestructible
I can't fault it for what its supposed to be, but this thing is way too long for me. I had it in mind for in door use for non sports related usage. And at 35 inches, there's no room for swinging. I've decided that I'll be keeping it in the vehicle.That being said, this thing is rock solid. I can't see it breaking ever.It's got a good balance and easy to swing fast.At this point, I think I'll take with me off roading and swat a few rocks into the hill side for some end of the day R and R.Overall, it's a winner.
