Yep, another great filter from Cafec
Slow, fast, etc....these filters are fantastic. Draw down speed will vary depending on your beans, grind size, water temperature, etc. However, the consistently great flavor I get from Cafec filters is what keeps me coming back to them. I would encourage you to try different filters and compare for yourself the flavor and aroma differences.

A go-to for anyone brewing light roasts on the v60
I brew light roasts. For me, this paper is pretty much a must over the current Hario brand papers. Your brews will flow a lot more predictably (less clogging) and quickly as well (which you can slow down again with your grind size if you want, but try the taste). No turning back. Note that Origami sells their own papers, but it's actually these. For the nerds, the medium roast papers are faster but are often out of stock. Just get these. They are also superior to Abaca+.

Consistent, fast filters
I use these for a timemore crystal eye 01. I'm happy with these filters and feel no need to buy more expensive ones like sibarist. They provide a quite fast flow rate (drawdown) so I have found that grinding finer is needed, at least finer than with my Kalita and April flat bottom drippers.

Great for light roast coffee
These filters absolutely deliver a high flow rate and a clean cup of coffee. I was frustrated with brewing a very expensive and delicious light roast Wilton Benitez coffee from Big Shoulders using standard bleached Hario V60 filters. Even using a specialized sieve to filter out finings failed to prevent my brew from clogging the Hario filters. These Cafec Abaca filters were just the ticket.

I like these filters
I drink a light roast single origin from a local roaster who sources what has been my favorite beans. I use a small Origami Air-S dripper. I have tried a few different small filters and find I prefer these. I have done no measured A - B comparison, but I do expect to order these again.

Small
Draw well, but too small for even 20 g

Overrated
I find no difference in cup quality & brew times vs. the hario paper filters. The coffee and grinder make 99% of the difference. The paper thing here is a placebo. That doesn't mean that all filters are the same. The Kalita 155 filters definitely have a different effect on coffee than V60 filters (apart from the brewer's shape!). In this instance, the paper material itself contributes to the difference in mouthfeel. You can say the same about the Chemex or the Beehouse filters. For me as a professional specialty roaster, I really don't find it worthwhile to spend the extra $ for the cafec filters. Save it for the beans and/or grinder.
