amazing product, amazing results, but way too pricey
Great product - when you figure out how to use it. Your surface MUST be sanded to at least 180 grit (and I mean thoroughly sanded), even against the grain to open the pores. You have to pour on more than you think and spread it around with a utility blade - don't bother with a rubber or plastic spreader - you need to really scrape Osmo into the open pores. Just when you think you're done, pour on more Osmo and hit it wet with a white 3M non-woven surface conditioning pad. This will scrub the Osmo into the pores and the grain. Let it sit for 10 mins and then use your sander again with a CLEAN NEW white surface cond. disc. "Sand" the Osmo in until you have a really nice surface. Let it sit for a halfhour and then rub the surface with a terry towel. Now, do the same thing over for a second coat and you will have AMAZING results

Great Wood Finish
I used Osmo Polyx 3054 satin hardwax-oil to finish a diningroom table I made with walnut, cherry and sapelli inlays. Wonderfull stuff.

Came recommend
This product was highly recommend by a long time woodworker. We applied it to a black walnut bar top. Came out beautifully! Easy to apply. We used a clean old undershirt. Dip the cloth and apply a thin coat. Immediately wipe down with another clean/dry cloth. Allowed to dry overnight. Repeat. On the third day, hand buff with soft cloth. That's it! Looks amazing!

Creates a nice finish
Great product. Creates a nice smooth satin finish. MUST apply thin coats but that means it covers a lot more than other finishes

Good overall
Easy application. Drying time was longer than recommended.

The Best Finish I've Ever Used
I've been experimenting with different finishes on projects for some time now. This is, without a doubt, the best finish for furniture. While polyurethane may give you superior protection this stuff seems comparable AND you get the feel of wood. To me, poly feels like plastic and I HATE THAT. This stuff gives you a buttery smooth wood feel. LOVE IT

Great product
I had attempted to use something called poly shades on an oak table. It was stain and polyurethane all in one. Terrible product! I had to strip it off, sand it down, restain and then I tried Osmo, rubbing it in with the non abrasive white pads. After the first coat I was sceptical, but when I applied the second coat, which took a little more rubbing, it turned out beautiful. Thanks!
