Failed after 6 months
I purchased this grinder hoping it would work well in my shop. I got used to the stupid trigger that makes you wait for the wheel to stop turning before it will restart, but last night while using it with a cut-off wheel it just died after less than 6 months of use. Very disappointed when my DeWalt grinders last years. I won't buy it again, I will go with the Fein grinder instead as it doesn't make you wait for the wheel to stop before restarting.

Dont let off the trigger
Great grinder, perfect for home projects and industrial work. BIGGEST DOWNSIDE: Although the sjs protects the gears, it is very annoying, because if for any reason you let off the trigger, you must wait for the wheel to stop turning in order for it to begin turning again.

Typically Makita product are very good. Well made and durable. This saw is as well. It's powerful and reasonably priced. I believe it will last. Satisfied with it.
