Great light. Does not need to be charged often under limited use.

The eye of god.
for my son to be able to be able to crawl around a basement that did not have any power at the time he pulled it out and noticed that when we turn it on it would shine a spotlight across the Arkansas River to the bank on the other side where cajun's Wharf was. At the end of the nickname the eye of God. Since then the past 3 years we have bought two more to give to his gifts one stays in our side by side out in the woods and one of my shop and the other one is supposed to be in my house someone is always borrowing their longstanding they hold a charge very well long-lasting dropping it has never been an issue 4 years no damage the sturdy as hell

I Just Received the Sun In A Hand Held Form.
Durability and battery life unknown. I clicked the main beam to max, looked into the outer edge for a half second and felt like Mogwai (Gremlins movie) "AHHHHH BRIGHT LIGHT! BRIGHT LIGHT!!!" I bought it purely for the advertisement of 6000 lumen (apparently 1 single candle is about 1 lumen) and the 2600+ foot distance. Point it at the wall and about 5-7? feet at a guess in any direction before you reach the outer limit of the light. 12-15? feet outer edge to the other edge. So far I'm MASSIVELY Impressed by the light brightness alone. The side bar is impressive enough when you set it on the lens and can still see sideways. The power of the light it emits all by itself was worth the delivery wait and cost + tx. Knowing nothing about durability and recharge time/battery life, I'd still recommend this sun-in-your-hand. If this company knows nothing else, they know how to bring light to the pitch dark of night. I'd happily purchase this again. I'd even invest 50-75$ if they somehow made a Cree 3 bulb with 9k or Cree 4 with 15k lumen. (Hypothetically speaking). Even $150 would be a decent price. If you're careful and don't drop/use as a weapon then durability doesn't factor into much of anything far as I can figure. Maybe 1 day I'll fully charge then let it run full power until it dies then see how long it takes to charge. For now it's irrelevant to me.

I was very skeptical
I was looking for a good powerful flashlight on Amazon and came across this . It was about what I was looking for and promised BIG things . So I took the leap and bought it . When I received it I was a little taken back by the weight , it was extremely light and in my experience light means cheap . I charged it up and was still skeptical of its ability . I took this out to my camp and when it got dark I aimed it at my backstop at 100 yds away . WOW holy Camolie . It lit up my backstop like a stage light !! If I could see that far I could have read the paper at 100 yds . This light throws a very structured round dot of light , at 100 yds I would estimate that the light circle was 30 to 40 feet across and almost as bright as day at 100 yds !! A perfect circle of light . I also purchased a 50000 cp spot light and this little lite gives the 50K a run for its money , no kidding ! ( 100 yds) The only thing I dont like is the 2 press buttons , it has 2 settings for each lite ( the side area lite and the spot ) you must go through the 2 stages to shut it off so if you want high press once if you want low press twice but you have to run through the stages every time , no big deal really . Very impressed with this little lite would recommend Only thing I cannot attest to is its durability only had it for a couple months but so far so good . Also I cannot say how long battery last I have not taken it to that limit yet .

Very bright
If you want to see something at a hundred yards or even more, this is the one to get. It projects a narrow beam and it has a flood light on the side so that it can be used for area illumination. I have noticed that this light is being used in a TV exploring show. The handle is different but the lamp body is the same as this one. I believe that since they chose this spotlight, they trust it in some very dark and dangerous places speaks volumes about it’s quality.

Good if you want to charge it daily.
I bought this and a battery operated spotlight at the same time a month ago. I was very impressed with both, but especially the rechargeable (this unit), which cost more than twice as much. I fully charged the rechargeable, and shined both lights at a considerable distance. Both were very effective, but the rechargeable was superior by far in brightness. So I took them both when I visited a friend 30 days later and was very disappointed. The rechargeable didn't even compare in brightness to battery operated. I thought it would hold a much better charge than that. You must have to charge it often, and I think you shouldn't have to, especially if it hasn't been used. I just fully charged it and left the maintenance light, not the spotlight, on dim to see how long that light will last. Working good for the last 45 minutes. Update 8/27/2022. For the past couple weeks the charger has shown green all the time when plugged in. It usually shows red until the light is charged. Now I find the light is dead as a doornail. It works great if plugged in to the charger. Otherwise it doesn't work at all. Total junk!
