After you have turned your ignition on and off several times and kicked your brake pedal, the message center will read "LF or front left" tire. Hold the Train Tool near the front left tire and press the button and the horn will honk. Go to the next tire and press the button again and the horn will honk again. Repeat for the remaining two tires. All this device does is trigger a signal from your TPM sensor to see if the unit is working. To set a new number, you would need an expensive scan tool with that feature.
