Replaced an older version of this model would always recommend to a friend.
This is the second strip I have own. I had purchased an older version 8 years ago at a truck stop for a trip to Florida it ran a game cube back than an a cpap machine no problem this one ran an old laptop and 2 tablets no problem. Would have purchased one with more power but cars are only rated 150 anything else and you risk blowing a fuse. The fan is audible but I couldn't hear it while we were driving. I only wish that I could have gotten for the price I found it at one of the truck stops I saw it at while traveling.

Semi happy
The power strip worked well for about 2 months, then it just stopped. I liked it because I drive for a living so it gave me extra outlets for my electronics. I hate that I'm not able to exchange it๐

Works Well
We keep one of these in each car. They have a few USB ports for charging along with a pass-trough port in case you need to plug in your other in-car devices. Note: If your car leaves the power port on when the key is off, make sure you unplug this. It has a cooling fan that will eventually drain your battery.Great product!

Works well, but it has a fan inside that turns on whenever it is plugged in, and it is VERY loud.

Very loud, very low surge capacity
The internal fan is very loud and runs constantly. Will not power my 13" laptop. When the laptop power adapter is connected the inverter immediately goes into protection mode and does not recover until after the adapter is removed. About half the time when I plug in a 10W mobile phone charger the inverter goes into protection mode. Some other reviewers seem to have had success with powering laptops, so it's possible that surge problems I am having are related to the 12V outlet I am using. The inverter may be very sensitive to voltage drop and would work with 12V outlets that can supply more current. Even so, I've used other brands of inverters that work under these conditions, so it seems to me that this one goes into protection too easily.I recommend picking a different brand, this one is not reliable, and even when it does work, it is kind of awful to use due to the noise issue.
