Fabulous solution for wood drawer runners
This stuff rocks!! I bought it to make the wood drawers in our old house slide more easily (yes, this is important to me), and it totally does the trick! Our drawers have wood-on-wood runners, which creates a lot of friction, making opening drawers a real wrestling match. Not fun when you're cooking. We tried applying different waxes, etc. but nothing really seemed to help.Sticking a length of this tape along each runner on *both* surfaces (so it's tape rubbing on tape), makes them 1000% better. You do use up alot of tape this way, but it's so worth it. Sure beats a kitchen renovation! After I applied it in my kitchen, I realized I could use it in in all of the drawer built-ins in our house, which are constructed the same way, and bought 2 more rolls. The tape has held up for a year or so now, and I don't see why that would change. Hope this helps someone!

At the last minute I searched again and thought this would be worth a try as I love the rods/rings/curtains we have
We used this tacross the top of our curtain rods where it cannot be seen. The rings would not slide across the bump where the extension was. We had all ready tried an idea we found on You Tube to tape a piece of a metal tape measure across the rod which helped a lot but it was not slick. We were on the verge of replacing all of the rods in our home with conduit that we would have paint sand blasted on so there was not a bump. At the last minute I searched again and thought this would be worth a try as I love the rods/rings/curtains we have. It works great. we just put it over top of the metal tape measure. you cannot see anything and the curtains slide back and forth like crazy.

Helps smooth rough surfaces
I purchased this to use on old wooden kitchen drawers (without sliders). The film tape adheres easily and stays put for the most part. Unfortunately my kitchen drawers have been worn away in spots by repeated use, making a less than ideal application possible with this product. While I can't say it's smooth as glass or 'just like' a metal rail setup, it's certainly better than wood on wood scraping that causes sawdust and bad noises! I may have to reapply this tape in certain spots over time, but would recommend it to others in my situation and to those who are restoring old furniture. As a homeowner without a lot of DIY experience, I would have appreciated some simple how-to instructions for application, but there are none with this product. It's fairly easy to see what you need to do, but some tips on prepping the surfaces would have been helpful.Definitely a good buy and useful product that I'm sure I'll find other uses for in the future.

Looking to modernize old kitchen drawers? This is it!
I never write reviews, but this tape is fantastic! I was looking for a solution to improve the sliding action on my old kitchen drawers. They are wood on wood and I got tired of cleaning up the sawdust in the cupboards below, not to mention the force it took to open and close the drawers! I was ready to get new drawers built with modern installation, but thought I would try this. Amazing difference! Such an improvement! I applied it to the wood runners inside the cabinet with the peel off adhesive. I used it on 12 drawers and used maybe a fourth of the roll. I am going to work on my dresser drawers next! If you are trying to figure out what to do about modernizing old kitchen drawers, try this.

Great Product for your Wooden Drawers
We bought an older house (1926) this summer and while the kitchen drawers seemed to open and close fine even though they were wood on wood my reason for purchasing this product was to eliminate the wood dust that falls into the cabinets below the drawers. I was sick of having to wash my pots, pans, and other things before using them because they had wood dust in them. After reading reviews on a few different types of tapes this is the one I decided to go with. Now, I've only had the tape on the drawers for about a month, but so far there is no wood dust (I plan to update later whether there is dust or not). The added bonus to this is that even though they opened well enough before it is even better now. The drawers slide out so smoothly and easily. I taped only on the inside of the cabinets where the drawers slide in. I taped both the bottom "ledge" where the drawers touch and I also did the vertical parts that also touch the drawers. So, it was like an L on each side. There was room between the drawer and this area, but I did it just in case. I wanted to make sure there would be no more dust.If either of these problems are something you're trying to solve without replacing your kitchen cabinets this tape is an inexpensive solution. Definitely recommend!
