Not as described
I have worn the Drew Rose shoes for many years, and have several pairs in different colors. I had to send this one back. First, because the description said the upper was leather, and they are not, they are cloth. Although the color is described as "velvet", I assumed that meant that they were perhaps buffed leather that had the appearance of velvet. Also, the strap cut into the top of my foot/ankle very badly, and it does not do this in any of the other Rose shoes that I have. Something is wrong with these.

My favorite shoes, very comfortable with my own orthotics.
Too bad you can't buy these shoes any more online, or I'd get several more pairs. I hated them when they first arrived and they sat in the box for about six weeks while I shopped around for something more attractive and comfortable. Then I finally went ahead and put my own orthotics in them (removing Drew's orthotics entirely), after which they instantly became the most comfortable shoes I had ever worn. Then I had to get used to their appearance, which took about a week. Now I wear them every day, mostly with dresses to work, but occasionally with pants. Can't count the number of compliments I have received, and I dread the day they wear out. I'd pay twice as much for another pair.

Perfect food & beverage professional work shoes for women with bunions!
This is a great shoe that is comfortable to wear all day. As a manager of a restaurant who works 10 hour shifts, it was important to find a durable pair of shoes that offered a wide enough toe box to prevent bunions (and alleviate pain from them) as well as orthotics to pad my feet. The design is not the most stylish, but it gets the job done. I like the adjustable strap because my feet are wide AND fat so it wasn't too tight or too constricting for me. My only gripe is that it was a little large so my foot would move around a bit, but you can always try to size down if that's a major issue.

Hard shoes, not soft and supple.
I was very excited to learn about these shoes as they had two insoles that could be used or removed to accommodate appropriate depth. I wear a 1/2 " lift in my right shoe and I have a hammer toe in my left foot.My complaint is these shoes are hard. They hurt the bottom of my feet from the ball to the toes. The arch support I left in is very cushy but it's the soles that are so rigid causing the discomfort.I won't buy another pair.

Cute and supportive
I purchased these shoes for my 97 year old mother. Three years ago she had gotten a Drew Mary Jane, not sure which one think it was Bloom II, and the sole recently cracked. I was going to buy her the same ones but saw these Drew Rose Mary Jane on sale on Amazon. She loves them. They do not look as clunky on her feet as the others did. She has hammer toes and the toe box is roomy/deep enough so it does not bother her. The sides give good support and the adjustable strap is great. They are also very cute.

... arch support that came with the shoe would be good for most people
Am using an orthotic in my shoe due to very high arches but the arch support that came with the shoe would be good for most people. It has two inserts - one with flat foam that I put under my orthotics and the top one, for those people who don't have orthotics, and both are well made. They are also easily removable-good feature. Not a super-stylish shoe but heel and inside of foot are well supported due to design. Worth the money for those of us who have problem feet/ankles and definitely wearable with dressy and casual outfits. Would buy a second pair in another color if budget allowed.

Well built and comfortable.
This is the only shoe witch works with my brace for a dropped foot. Very comfortable. The funny thing is that I have had perfect strangers stop me to tell me how cute that they are and I tell them they are ortho shoes and they want to know where I got them ; it amazes me every time! So great

Mary Janes are a foot saver
Just received these shoes. I was fearful that it was another pair of shoes I would have to return. I have very flat, flexible feet that hurt all the time. These shoes are worth the money. Roomy, comfy, toe box has room , the stap can adjust comfortably. You can use your orthotics comfortably by taking out the inner sole there is another cushion under the one you remove. Nor as soft as keeping the other one in but if you have to wear them it might as well be in these shoes. I thought they would be ugly but they aren't, they are nice looking and look good on.I have very flat feet and I wear an 11 B.
