For what it is, perfect. Very simple install in theory, but...
02 Trans Am Ws6 - Good product and quick shipping. Replacing the stock lid with the SLP lid deletes the big black boxy resonator, opening the engine bay, noticeably increasing intake sound (good!) and allowing better flow for as much as 10 more horsepower. Air flow is important for these cars. You can feel better throttle response immediately and with a good foot, can feel the extra power. Perfect first mod.As others have said, getting a seal on the back requires extra weather stripping or something to push the lid down, but is doable. Fitting the lid onto the mass air flow is not an easy task. The most common method is to use a heat gun or hair dryer on the lid until its about as hot as it can get, and to push the two together. Keeping it hot for long enough can be difficult, but as long as you get it in a tiny bit you can make it seal. Either snug it while hot if you can or use my method --> After struggling with it for a while, I just decided to take the MAF apart (be extremely careful, its very sensitive) and to bump the metal part into the lid using a rubber mallet. Simply bump each corner in until it has achieved a nice snug fit. Remove the IAT (intake air temperature sensor) from the stock lid and to put it onto the SLP lid. Be extremely careful removing it as it is made of cheap plastic and fragile. Fair grip with pliers on a thick section of plastic and wiggling it in wide circles will do the trick. Plug in the air pump hose and you're done! For what the product is and the results it gives, its an EASY 5 stars. The cons to the whole project is the hassle it requires for what seems to be such a simple process, and a fairly high price for a piece of plastic. With that, 4.

Cleans up engine bay
Easy install just heat up the plastic with a heat gun to slip the lid onto the MAS. If you do that right you should be able to get it on by hand and you shouldn’t need a clamp

Needs a heat source to fit MAF. Looks clean.
Fits ok. Had to lossen and adjust the lower housing. Also like many others, needed to heat up the open for the MAF to get it in. Looks much cleaner then the stock setup. Will have to see if it makes more power. On a odd note, my loud mouth2 exhaust pops now.

Excellent appearance upgrade, a bit more performance as well. Only lasted 2 years
I give this 5 stars just for the fact of how much it improves the under hood appearance. The stock airbox with its huge plastic silencers are such an eyesore. There is a slightly louder air intake sound at full throttle but i like it, along with a little bit better throttle response.A few installation tips: You must use a heat gun or hair dryer when seperating the mass air flow from the stock intake lid neck or else it will be very difficult to seperate, same thing when you are installing the new slp lid. You have to use a good amount of force to get the mass air all the way in, but its in there nice and tight when finished. When you are installing the included "C" shaped air hose coming out of the side of the lid (after you cut 3 inches off of the end of it as instructed) aim it downwards toward the engine and all the related hoses will sit proper.Update: 2 years later and the neck of the airboxdeveloped many tiny cracks and one large one forcing me to buy a new one. 100$ down the drain

Fits perfect on my 00 camaro ss
It was a little hard getting it to fit on the throttle body...but aint nothing a heat gun or blow dyer cant do to get the job done. With this new lid i can already feel the hp gains. Highly recommend this product for any fbody.

it seems to let the engine breath better. Paired with all these mods car is deff ...
Bought this lid a few months ago on my 02 z28 camaro. With a k&n filter, long tube headers, 3" y pipe and slp loudmouth 2 catback, it seems to let the engine breath better. Paired with all these mods car is deff faster, and louder. Overall good purchase. Fit was excellent besides having to heat the maf fitting with a heat gun in order for it to mate together.

always have had good experiences with SLP products
always have had good experiences with SLP products, plus they have worked with me very well, I've seen some people complain but sometimes minor alterations have to be done, 30 years in the racing world. helps free up room under the hold as well
