TecTecTec VPRO DLX 1K S Golf Rangefinder Laser Range Finder 1K Slope

I have used a Bushnell for years and it finally gave out on me... I wanted to purchase a new one with the slope feature added and at this price it seemed very reasonable. I have been "trying" to use this finder now for 8 months and it still can never find the flag properly. I live out in the PNW so there are a ton of trees and it always seems to jolt on a tree behind adding 30 more yards. I had very high hopes after most of the reviews were solid, but it is not worth the money.

I bought this range finder on June 24, 2017. It looks rugged and well built. I've never dropped it as I have a clip to hand it to the golf cart. I use it about twice a week on average. By August end 2017 with just two months of use it no longer works. It's not the better because I replaced the battery with brand ne wbatters twice with no avail. I hope it's still under warranty. I was praying for this to be a got range finder.

Love the product. I am an 8 index and yardage/slope is critical to play well. As good as any other of the more expensive range finders. What makes TECTECTEC special is their amazing customer service. If you have an issue, they get on it fast and resolve it. Great Product and Service!

Didn't work while wearing glasses

Yardages are off by up to 15 yards. not very accurate.Wanted to return, but company would not take back. Stay away from this brand.

The TecTecTec 1Ks is my first rangefinder that I’ve purchased. I found this finder in various golf reviews on the internet as this company was mentioned many times with positive reviews based on it’s pricing value.After considerable active use over the last month I’m extremely happy with this device beyond it’s lower pricing. I’ve compared it’s accuracy with my other golf buddies and is spot on. I also carry my iPhone with a GPS app that provides yardage estimates to the front, middle and back of the green. So using both, I’ve been able to get a better read. It took awhile to get use to dialing in the yardage as the printed instructions is very small print. But by pressing/holding the first top button closest to the viewing eye piece and starting from the left side of the pin and slowly pan to the left until you see the flag icon in your viewer then bingo. You have the yardage.Some of the higher priced viewers have a vibration mode when the flag is dialed in – but I do not necessarily think it’s necessary as I would be concerned with the extra battery drain. The accuracy of being within 1 yard is good enough for my usage. Some of the higher end finders have a 1/2 yard accuracy but that seems over the top for my ability at this time. The speed/performance of the device is very good as it takes no time to get a reading once I learned how to scan for the pin. The adjustable focus viewing lens works well for me to provide a clear view using sunglasses, eyewear or without.I have no problems in highly recommending this finder as it is well built, nice/balanced weight, nice secure storage cover,… So far functions flawlessly over this last month of high use. We will see how long the batteries last during the rest of this season but so far I’m pleased with the power utilization as it might be too early to tell.[If indeed I have a failure as reported by the other customer review - I'll update my post since I've only been actively using this device over a month now - I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase]Added Edit: it's been over 6 months of considerable use of this rangefinder and I'm still extremely pleased with my purchase. Recently had to replace the battery. The only awkward thing I've had happen a very few/rare times is that the focus ring sometimes rotate under storage and that the mode switches out of slope mode. But nothing that is major as I still rate this product with 5 stars, especially for the price. The accuracy is very close to other finders I have compared against while playing with other players. Again, I highly recommend.

I purchased the VPRODLX 1KS as an upgrade for a defective VPRO DLX rangefinder directly from TecTecTec. Their Customer Service is OUTSTANDING, 2nd to None!!!! Had a problem with it and they immediately replaced it without question and even paid for the return. The new one is accurate and reads the target instantly. I tested it at a driving range where I know the exact target distances.
