For the price, it does the job. I don't have to get up to change the settings on the a/c or to turn it off. Even though it is not the same remote that is pictured, it will work for the most part. I have two air conditioners that need remotes, one an LG and the other a GE. I bought just one to make sure it will work. The instructions are kind of hard to understand if you're not used to programming things like clocks, microwaves, televisions, etc. Basically you hold down the set button til the display blinks, then use the temp +/- button to control the code number. LG only had two codes and the first one worked. But if not, there's an auto search function very similar to programming a tv remote. It goes until the right number makes the a/c turns off or reacts, and that's when you push 'set' to save the code. The accelerate it talks about is like when you program a clock or oven timer, you don't want to have to push the button 600 times, literally, so if you hold the button down the numbers go super quick til you get close to your desired number. Then you can resume pushing the button one number at a time until you get the right code. I don't like being stuck in Celsius, and it won't change my a/c to Energy Saver mode...it just skips that mode. Other than that, I'm happy to have saved at least $25.

It did not have a code for my AC unit.(Gibson) and when I tried to program it automatically I got no results .

Don’t be like me. I purchased this remote thinking maybe just a few people got a bad one. The instructions are poorly written, and the brands are all written in an English translation of Chinese. Since entering the codes manually was completely useless, I tried the code search option. After about 20 codes, my air conditioner started beeping, and all the lights began to flash randomly. Now it won’t turn on at all, and no, it’s not the safety plug.

Very good remote control. easy to operate and the most important WORKS !!!!

Only negative thing is it's in Celsius versus Fahrenheit... otherwise it's perfect

bought to differant generic remotes and neither worked for my air cond both arived in good condition and would prob have worked just not for my machine witch was a COSBY so if you are looking for one for this brand do not buy this one
