the stories are good but so poorly written that it detracted from the reading experience. needs a good editor to fix all the typos and issues.

I would like to thank Cheri Burdick for her contribution in this book. I know her personally and have been interested in her story for a while. When it was included in this book, I saw the perfect opportunity to become better acquainted with her experience. I started with her story, which is the 8th one, and was drawn into exploring the rest of the book.It has an intro and conclusion by Jody Long. I appreciated her insights and synopsis of the NDE. Sandwiched between her thoughts are sixteen stories. This allowed me to have good stopping points as I respond to interactive demands of life. I liked the questionnaire format that pulled additional information from the contributors.I have experienced the loss of loved ones, and I recommend this book for those who seek the comfort of testimony of life beyond the veil. For me, it is also important to better understand the priorities that after-life observations can provide. This book is a good tool in that endeavor.I recommend this book and, once again, would like to thank Cherie for making me aware of it.

This book is important as it includes some of the most significant and exceptional accounts of NDEs from the nderf.org website (Near Death Research Foundation).

I have read many of these from the NDERF website but it is nice to have them in one location

This book has changed my life for the better.

I’m somewhat addicted to reading about Near Death Experiences. One of my guilty pleasures is reading the many accounts posted on nderf.org I know, I need to get a life. This book is a compilation of “best of NDE’s”. The stories were compelling, but I would’ve loved it had the publishers spent some time editing the prose. There were too many typos.

Jody Long has been sharing accounts of near-death experiences in her role as webmaster of the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation webpage since 2002. Her aim in this book was to collect a representative sample of experiences and put them into a format that could be accessed by people who do not have access to a computer, who are elderly, or who are handicapped could be inspired and comforted by these wonderful experiences. Her introduction to the book which explains what near death experiences are and why they are evidence of the afterlife is masterful as is her conclusion which sums up what she has learned about the meaning of ndes. Her book is well structured, easy to read and the questions that she puts to each experiencer draw out details and perspectives that you may not have found elsewhere. A most interesting and well written book.

There's nothing particularly bad about this book. It's well written but it just didn't appeal to me. Maybe others will feel differently about it.

Great book of lots of beautiful life experiences helping to widen your horizons. Made me think and revalue my beliefs about the human life and the limitations we have created to our possibilities.

This is a " must read" for anyone seeking answers to life`s problems and mysteries . This is by FAR the best book on the subject I read in ages . If you are an atheist or dismiss near-death experiences then it might not be the book for you - for anyone else : just AMAZING !

Es de agradecer que varios como ella pertenezcamos al mundo del derecho y sin embargo nos interesen sobremanera lo que se relaciona con el verdadero mundo del espiritu. Buena selección de experiencias de ECM que tienen en su base de datos. Animo a comprar el libro y a visitar su pagina web, NDERF. Ademas ha colaborado conmigo con su base de datos en mi tesis doctoral en sociología sobre ECM. Actitud que contrasta con alguna investigadora española sobre ECM que no ha sido capaz de ni siquiera hablar con este doctorando. Nos queda mucho que aprender del extranjero al menos en tener menos envidia y en saber trabajar en equipo. Enhorabuena Jody.
