Astragalus Root Slices 226 Grams

I use dried astragalus root slices in my herbal tea mixes since more than 20 years. After I found this inexpensive product on Amazon a few months ago, I started ordering it regularly. The astragalus came in well sealed bags, the quality was reliably consistent, and delivery was quick.

I have been grinding dried reishi mushrooms for several years. I thought I would try something different, primarily based on price points. When they showed up in a paper bag, I was a little concerned since all of the other suppliers package them in air tight plastic bags to retain freshness. When I opened, i smelled nothing. When I ground them, the powder contracted to almost nothing. For anyone who usually grinds reiehi mushrooms, you know that the volume of the ground mushrooms expands fairly dramatically. So, the outcome is a very flavorless, bitter tea. I just cant imagine how old they are or what they are treated with. Huge disappointment .
