Great movie with a dumb ending
This in another great Bullday Drummond movie. Fine acting and wonderful plot. The reason for four stars and not five, the ending. Here is a great movie with a dumb ending. None the less it is well worth seeing.

Late 1930's British Detective.
Classic late 1930's British detective thriller with Drummond sticking his nose into Scotland Yard's business and always solving the case. Very well done for the time with good acting and a good fun plot.

Good Blludog Drummond movie
My favorite of the series. I had seen it decades ago on PBS, but they called it "Bulldog Drummond Gets Married." Depending on your perspective, it's hilarious! I certainly enjoy the movie. My favorite of the series.

great movie, I recommend it!
I love old movies like this, there's no swearing or stupid mandatory sex scenes, just good fun with a good plot - acting is good too.

Boring.
Boring, even for my standards, i like old films but could not complete an entire show. There was a constant attempt at comedy in between the crime solving.Did not enjoy this at all and i can see why it was only 6.00.

Great Fun!
Bulldog Drummond films date all the way back to the silent era. While the two films with Ronald Colman are considered to be the best by many critics, the most fun and entertaining films are surely the "B" films with John Howard in the role of Hugh Drummond. But others had their turn at the famous adventurer, including a young Ray Milland. This one has two great entries, lighthearted in spirit, and quite fun in that vein.BULLDOG DRUMMOND ESCAPESPal Algy is an expecting father as Bulldog arrives by plane with a bit of derring-do, landing in a dangerous fog. Guy Standing is the Clolonel this time, and he's not pleased to see Hugh, knowing his arrival is sure to bring adventure. It isn't long before his fears are realized, when our hero Bulldog finds a damsel in distress in the road. There's a murdered man nearby and the damsel disappears! Hugh suspects she's being held against her will in Greystone manor, but can't convince the Colonel. Pretty Heather Angel is enough to make any man take a risk or two, and Bulldog's nose for adventure and damsels leads him right into trouble.Milland makes a fun and dashing Drummond in this lighthearted entry in the series. This one is important because it shows how Bulldog and Phyllis first met. The very fun tone of this one makes for fine entertainment for "B" fans. Bulldog plays a clever trick to tear Algy away from the delivery and an even neater trick involving a dummy to find the evidence he needs to save Phyllis from the ruffians!Just grab the kids and some popcorn and have a good time watching this one.BULLDOG DRUMMOND'S SECRET POLICEThe "B" series had cute and lovely Heather Angel as Hugh's fun bride-to-be, Phyllis Clavering. E.E. Clive was great as Bulldog's valet, Tenny, and Reginald Denny offered moments of amusement as his affable pal, Algy. H.B. Warner was fun as Colonel Nielson and Elizabeth Patterson swell as Phyllis' Aunt Blanche, always skeptical that Bulldog would ever make it to the alter with Phyllis.James Horn directed this one with a screenplay from Garnett Weston based on "The Temple Tower" by H.C. "Sapper" McNeile. This particular entry is quite fun, as Hugh finds adventure in his own home. Five other times Bulldog's nose for mystery and adventure has kept him from the alter with Phyllis, and when a professor shows up at Rockingham on the eve of the nuptuals with a book containing directions to a hidden treasure in the world underneath Bulldog's home, adventure can't be far away.A secret cipher and the possibility of treasure is just too much for Hugh and his pals to resist, wedding or not! The fun really starts and the pace picks up once the book is stolen and a man is murdered. Phyllis is game, however, and joins in the chase with moxy, asking for a gun. She may need it when she's taken hostage by the killer and the treasure is found, Bulldog and gang on the chase to save her. There is a dream sequence that lets Hugh recall some of his exploits from previous entries which is campy fun. Leo Carroll makes a good "B" villan and Howard adds the right touch as the man-about-town who can't resist a good adventure. Heather Angel is cute as a button throughout and an ending with a laugh makes this a particularly enjoyable outing for Bulldog and gang. Those who enjoy "B" films, especially series, will like this one a lot. A fun double feature for a Saturday morning!

I LOVE BLACK & WHITE MOVIES
I must say I really enjoyed The Bulldog Drummond films. And this little gem is no excepting. Some people might not agree with me, so as movie 🎬 tastes is the same as art, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.I am 100% British Born and Bread, so I am very Patriotic about Our Great Nation, so in voting to leave the EU, there nothing better for me than watching Great old British movie about a ture British hero who love His Queen And Country Amen. God Bless Queen Elizabeth 2nd, And God Great Britain.I found the ordering first class, and the packaging and delivery of my dvd was first class, and will happily recommend anyone to use this service for purchasing any products that are available.E.K.P.

Drummond ... Bulldog Drummond
