You haven't tried them all...
I bought this 'cage type' device to help with a hyper-extended knee problem. It's different from the other 'sleeve braces" in that it addsadditional support behind the knee. Be warned that this is stiff and somewhat cumbersome brace. It will take time to get used to and adjusted properly. However, it gets the job done in preventing a hyper-extending knee better than any other type of brace I've tried. If you have hyper-extended knee problems and thought you've tried 'them all' you haven't until you give this bad boy a try.

It does a great job preventing hyperextension
It does a great job preventing hyperextension. It is also very easy to get on and off by myself which I am not able to do with wrap around braces.

It is not easy to put on but is comfortable once its on ...
I need this brace in order to be able to walk. I have broken two and I don't know how. It is not easy to put on but is comfortable once its on and adjusted. I am able to wear it all day. If the flaps were reverse it would be sooooo much better.
