Actually helps with Anxiety
This is the only ashwagandha product that has actually helps regulate my stress response and anxiety. It's not a cure-all or anything like that, but it does reduce effects. When I first tried this I didn't have high expectations. I have hormonal and adrenal imbalances that make my cortisol levels quite bad. I decided to dabble in supplements to see if anything would compliment everything else I was doing to manage my stress and anxiety. I quickly noticed throughout my day that my responses to stress and anxiety with triggers (like bad traffic) didn't spike as high. Day after day of consistent use I truly saw a change in my resting anxiety levels - as did my spouse. For me, my symptoms haven't disappeared but they are more manageable in comparison to not using ashwagandha. It doesn't give any side effects and is not addictive. It really does support your body's natural processes in handling stress and anxiety. So I decided to try many different ashwagandha products after this one just because I wanted to see if I could find similar results but for a lower price. Honestly, I couldn't. I would need to take twice the serving amount of other supplements to get even close to how this helps. And then the price wouldn't be cheaper of competitors because the product doesn't last as long.I use the 2 gram serving size in the morning because I prefer to see the benefits throughout the day. (I'm tempted to try splitting the serving between morning and night to see if my sleep improves.) The taste is slightly bitter, but adding it to a drink can cover up any unpleasantness, and eventually you get used to he flavor.

Yeah the taste of ashwagandha is not great. That's because that's what ashwagandha tastes like
Yeah the taste of ashwagandha is not great. That's because that's what ashwagandha tastes like. Either mix it into a tasty smoothie or else take the capsules -- and then you won't have to complain about the taste. I would describe the taste as... chocolate-y dirt. Mildly bitter. I mix 1/4 tsp (they say use 1/2 but I found that to be too much for me) into a smoothie. This morning I made a mint-chocolate smothie with a banana, almond milk, ice cubes, a little protein powder, a few drops of peppermint extract, and the ashwagandha. Did not taste the ashwagandha at all. Delicious shake. It does seem to have some kind of effect in that you feel slightly energized, but it also calms down your thinking.

Stress breaker
I take this combined with Lions Mane and Reishi and combined it's making me smarter and less stressed, including dealing with narcissists. After almost a year taking this, it's definetly a staple in my daily coffee tonic. This brand has helped me stay healthy for years naturally, and I will always buy and support this brand.

This made me sick 😷
I've tried ashwaganda caps in the past and really felt a difference in my energy and stress levels. So I decided to buy Sunpotion for being a fancy brand in the wellness world. I thought this would be even better.. mistake! After the first dose something was wrong: upset stomach, bloating, a terrible smell in my mouth. But I decided to give it a chance and kept taking it for a week to notice the same symptoms plus terrible headaches. I just had to skip it for a couple of days to start feeling better. Not recommended at all!!

From a newbie's perspective - difficult to mask the taste
I have had a good experience with several Moon Juice Dust-blends, so I thought that I would add to my cupboard by giving Sun Potion's Ashwagandha Root Extract a try. On my first attempt, I tried to blend a large spoonful of the powder into a smoothie, but it did not dissolve very well and left my drink tasting "gritty." Also, the earthy flavor overwhelmed my protein powder and banana and I could not get the whole mixture down!In spite of this, I am going to try the powder again but only use a tiny tsp and then work my way up to larger quantities. That being said, I do appreciate everything that this company does and will most likely be a repeat customer.

yay for self-care
I have been hearing about ashwagandha for a while! After researching the benefits of adaptogens, I was very excited to finally try this product! As far as benefits go, after about 2 weeks I feel more energetic and have noticed a decrease in stress. As a mental health therapist, I stress the importance of self-care. Taking ashwagandha is definitely my self care go to! Unfortunately, the only down side is the taste, which is unpleasant. I initially tried the recommended amount with water. I was unable to finish it. I have also tried with smoothies and coffee. Ive noticed, for me, the taste is more tolerable in coffee. Additionally, when I first received this package I noticed the container appeared half full. I reached out to customer service and was pleasantly surprised by their helpfulness and speedy response. I will definitely be trying more of these sun potion products!

Fully-dosed supplement
The best ashwagandha I have used. The taste is similar to burnt roots, or leaves, and does not dissolve easily: it get suspended in liquid at best. Often I need to rinse the drinking glass with water to get all the powder deposited in the bottom and drink the dregs to get the full dose. That being stated, at 1 tsp dose every morning I have all-day positive energy and a noticeably happier disposition. I have tried large (and small doses) of KSM-66 and it works markedly less well than Sun Potion. I have tried non KSM-66 varaieties of ashwagandha and only had mild headaches to show for it. This is the real deal.
