Tempo is a wireless environment monitor for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets that is incredibly easy to use and quick to set up. Tempo does not require cables, plugs, wifi or an internet account. Simply take it out of the box, turn it on, download the free apps and done! It cannot be simpler or quicker. Tempo is compatible with iOS and Android devices that operate iOS 7 or Android 4.3 and later operating systems and that are Bluetooth Smart enabled. With Tempo Anywhere web access is available through any web browser (sold separately). Tempo has an incredibly stylish organic shape and is made from highly polished polycarbonate. It not only looks gorgeous in the home it is also robust for business use and weatherproof for the outdoors. Be warned though, its shape is so compelling you and others won't be able to stop from touching it. Tempo has a range of powerful features usually reserved for more expensive devices. It continously monitors temperature, humidity and barometric pressure from an array of sensors that can be separately configured and transmits the data to users' smartphones when they are in range. At the same time Tempo logs and timestamps the values in its memory for up to 30 days providing a history of the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure which can be downloaded to any user's smartphone when they are next in range. Also the data logging frequency is user changeable to be as frequent as every 5 minutes. Using Bluetooth Smart technology, Tempo has a range in excess of 150 feet (50 meters) line of sight and a range of 15 - 50 feet (5 - 15 metres) indoors or with obstacles is typical. It is powered by 2AA batteries that come included and last approximately 9 months and are easily changeable.

Horrible customer service and product
i was sent a defective device that does not accurately monitor what it claims even after i calibrated it. i contacted Blue Maestro to try and return it or at least exchange it thru their warranty, but they are unwilling to cooperate. they are saying that i would need to pay to send it back myself and if they deemed the device defective then they would reimburse me. Blue Maestro is in the UK and it would cost upwards of $120-$150 to send it back to them. Horrible customer service and product. would not recommend to anyone.

Great, accurate gadget. Love it!
I have to say this is the best Bluetooth temperature sensor I have found on the market. It was very quick to set up, I just downloaded the 'Tempo Monitor' app and turned the device on and the data started recording immediately. The app is very functional and displays the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure data in graphs and statistics which is great when you are monitoring an area over a longer period of time. I've also found the data to be very accurate. Love that it's wireless, very easy to transport and I have put it in various areas of my house and garden. It also looks great - has a very sleek, modern design and blends in with the house and garden environment well. Very quick shipping and a great little gadget!

Great Concept and Device But With Some Issues
I've been using the device with the Tempo Monitor app on my iPhone 6. It has worked very well, once I made a calibration adjustment in the temperature reading it's been quite accurate. However recently due to a problem with an update to the Tempo Monitor app I decided to open the device to replace the batteries and restart the device to see if I could surmount the issue. I've kept the device outside on my deck thinking it would not be harmed by rain. When I opened the Tempo I found a fair amount of water inside so it's not waterproof. This has not seemed to affect the function but can't be good. I dried the device out, replaced the batteries and have placed it in a plastic baggie back out on my deck. I hope that will keep water from entering it. I also have downloaded the original Tempo Classic app which is functioning without the issues the newer app has had.I have been in contact with their support people about the app and they have been very responsive. However I'm still concerned about the amount of water that I found inside, since the device had never been opened before in the 2 weeks or so that I've had it. But for now the baggie should protect it and does not seem to have affected the temperature reading.!2/6/2014I'm updating my review and dropping a star. Between the water I found in the device and the inconsistency in the available apps this has not been as reliable as I had hoped. There is an updated Tempo Monitor iOS app that has restored some of the buttons when needing to delete or make other changes but now the app has become much more inconsistent in reading the data from the device. Also when restarting my iPhone 6 and my iPad Air a duplicate Tempo device is listed in the app. Prior to the recent app update I wasn't able to delete the duplicate without freezing the app requiring it to be force quit and then completely deleted and re-downloaded to be rid of the duplicate. The app update has restored the ability to delete the duplicate but it still occurs if I restart those devices. The duplicate issue does not occur on my wife's iPhone 5S, which is also on iOS 8.1.1, when restarted. So that particular issue may be specific to 6s and iPads but I have seen it mentioned by at least one other person. However the app is still quite inconsistent in picking up the data from the device, whether that's a fault with the Tempo device itself or the app I don't know. So at this time I cannot recommend a purchase.
