Wonderful
I use these all the time. Makes life a lot simpler. I'd buy a dozen more if I needed them. Built well, dependable, quick easy release of multiple different mics at verying weights. Love these things!

Great for screw-on microphones
I have used these adapters for a variety of things including attaching a tip bucket to the top of a mic stand, attaching a compact mixer tray to the top of a mic stand, and quickly attaching/detaching a Shure Super 55 to the mic stand. The ease of using this for quick disconnects of threaded mic connections is well worth the price. The model has been slightly changed and improved over the years, so the new one does not mate up with the older models, meaning they won't be interchangeable; but the improvements are well worth it, making it more solid and sturdy with less wobble.

The Best Solution For Swapping Out Vintage Mics
So I have a large collection of vintage microphones from the late 30s through the early 80s. What do these things all have in common? They're designed to be screwed directly on to a mic stand which makes swapping them out somewhat tedious. In addition, many times the proximity to the stand mount socket and the cable connector make it hard to position without problems. However, with a handful of these Quik-Release adapters, swapping out is insanely easy. These little things are sturdy, they're attractive, and best of all they WORK. They also give that extra bit of riser space so that the cable doesn't conflict with the stand or a boom arm which is AWESOME. So yeah, if you have a vintage mic (or one of those modern vintage mic repros) this is what you need.

Nice invention
This is just what the doctor ordered. I bought three and am purchasing 3 more. All of these units threaded nicely into all of my stands and microphone holders. If I switch one mic to another stand, it could not be easier, just a press of a little button. With different shock mounts on different mics, I don't have to worry about re-threading the mounts each time I change mic stands. The time it saves is also invaluable. No problem with quality control on the 3 I now have, and I have no complaint with the build. Great for the studio, where I use mine, would think It would be clumsy for a performer who takes a mic on and off a stand, use a clip for that.Addendum:I love these so much, I have bought one for each mic in my locker, and each stand. That's a total of 12. None of them have failed after almost a years worth of use, the best invention for a mic since the shock mount. These will save you time, guaranteed!

Tried & true.
I’ve been using these for at least 20 years. They are solid and hold strong. The convenience of being able to swap out clips and shock mounts quickly is great, especially when in “time is money situations”. I recommend the chrome, the black ones are fine but the paint scrapes off easily and they start looking shabby. I’ve only had to replace 2 in all these years due to the button release sticking. I have around 15 of these. They used to be $7, now at $15. That’s a jump but these stand the test of time and work well. On-Stage stand and accessories are great in general and offer tremendous value and performance in my experience. Recommended.

If you need to break down your Sound Reinforcement occasionally, you need these
These are handy ways to attach and detach mics, goosenecks and other units that attach to a mic stand. As the photo shows, the clip consists of a male and a female section of tubing with a key-hole shaped slot in the female tube that mates with a depressible button on the male tube. They are secure enough, when clicked together, to allow you to pick up the entire mic stand up by the gooseneck or mic clip (or whatever is attached to the top part of the clip). I do a lot of one-nighters for arts groups, banquets, and after-dinner entertainment, and often the set-up and break-down times are very limited. These help a lot, and I have a couple that I've used regularly for over ten years.A word of caution. Similar clips by different manufacturers may not mate with each other. This may even be a problem with trying to mate black-finish with chrome-finish clips. I bought some black-finish clips some time ago to add to the three or four chrome clips I already had. They didn't fit, so I sent them back. I'd recommend buying as many as you think you need all at once so you don't end up with mismatches. Get one extra, as a matter of fact--It's proved handy for me a couple of times.

Great gadget!
These are real time-savers, and keep you from stripping threads. I use 3 of them in my live rig: connecting my mic to my boom, connecting the boom to the stand, and connecting a tablet holder to a mount. I use more of them in my home studio.

fa rumore

Excellent quick release, with one flaw. Solution in review.
The media could not be loaded. Works great, small compact and solid. However, it has one flaw. You have to press the button to connect the two pieces. My solution: Modify the hollow piece by bending the ends a bit, so the attaching piece can slide in without pushing down the button. Refer to my picture and videos.I used pliers with some tape on them to reduce scratches when bending. Have fun!
