Bought two of the smoke covers, great but darker than picture
I was hesitant to buy these after reading most of the reviews. Seems people liked the covers, or thought they were very cheap. I had been looking to replace my futon covers for months now. However, I never found one I liked. I had two to replace. They were both really pretty but were coming apart at the seams, literally, and did not match my new floors. Also, my older covers were a pain to put on and off. I would put a cover over the cover just because they were so hard to replace. When I looked at these I decided to go with the smoke color. One reviewer said the smoke was a much darker color, I would have to agree. The picture makes it look like a light gray; it is much darker and even has a slight purple hue to it. I ordered two of them and when I received them I was so happy to see `Made in the USA' on the tag. I washed both of them with a little bit of liquid fabric softener after someone said they were not soft. They felt thin when I pulled them out of the bag but seemed to actually get thicker after washing and drying on a medium heat.I loved the three zipper sides. My previous one had only two and it was like trying to wrestle a tiger to get the covers on. It was very easy to place the covers on myself. Both of them washed very well and did not shrink at all. They both fit my full size futons; I ordered the full size covers. They also look great on and don't wrinkle much at all.The zipper is very easy to zip, almost too easy because when you go to close the cover, both of mine slid down a bit. However, they are both staying in place now. I am very satisfied with the covers. Again, the smoke is darker but will camouflage cat hair and my two year toddler that will be using them. Very happy and for the price, you really can't go wrong!

Strong material and good zipper on this futon cover.
We have had out futon couch for more years than I can recall. The mattress has been replaced once and we have gone through many covers. This cover looks and feels durable. The fit was a big baggy but i don't care much about the look. The zipper fell apart on our old cover and that is what I was concerned about with this one. This zipper appears to be and feels very sturdy. My only problem was when I went to pull the cover over the corner of the mattress I put 2 fingers through the seam on the corner, so I think the seams may be weak but i can easily sew that.

Got 10 Years Out of It
We got about 10 years of use out of this cover. Now I am back here again as the zipper busted. It survived 10 years of young kids and being washed a number of times so I can’t complain.

Poorly sewn with weak seams
I review fairly. If an item is cheap, I expect lower performance standards than an expensive item. However, in all cases it must perform it's essential function for some reasonable period of time. And we could not get our full sized futon into this full size futon cover without the cover splitting.Futon cover looked good, though a bit thin. It came zipped up and the first sign was that loose threads from the inside were caught in the zipper in one spot and made it hard to open. OK.I had help so we removed our old cover (which had been removed, washed and returned dozens of times over the last 8+ years). We wanted to replace the old one because it finally wore through in one spot. While stuffing the futon into this new cover, the cover split at one of the seams. And it split very easily, my finger went right through the seam. OK. Maybe i hit a weak spot randomly. So we continued more gently and finally got it in.If you've done this before you know you often have to pull the two halves of the zipper track together before you zip a section, then repeat this. While doing this the Zipper fabric pulled away from the futon on me.So now its closed, but its so fragile that we don't dare open it back up to rearrange things so it doesn't even sit very flat.Yes, it covers the futon today. But this is now a single-use futon cover as i expect it will either disintegrate in the wash or fall apart even more if we clean it and try to put it back on.At this price we didn't expect another 8 years of hard use out of it, but i read a number of reviews and we expected it to last through at least a few washings. But it barely made it through its first installation.Maybe for a college dorm room - maybe. But based on our experience its best avoided. This kind of crap just ends up in the landfill in a year or two.*update: we bought a MUCH better denim cover for $65 and returned this one. Big waste of time.

Beautiful, Durable, Comfy Orange Accessory
I love it! I only got it today but will update if any problems occur. I put it on myself within 10-15 min, but it did take some strategic maneuvering. I’ll admit, it would have been easier if I would have recruited one of my sons but they weren’t available when my impatient self wanted it on. My point: it is doable woth one person, but two would make it easier.Once it was on, I noticed a lot of lose threads. Most were able to be pulled out without any damage, but many were left on because I was afraid to cut them. Being a seamstress, I can easily pull the threads back in, assuming I feel like taking it off. Maybe when I wash it. Speaking of which, I’ve read many reviews where it shrinks when washed, so I will update once I was it.It’s not as soft as most might like, but it suits me fine. It’s a nice canvas that I’m hoping stands up to beating it will take from two teenage boys. I see no reason to put another cover over it when using it as a sofa. Now if I’m hosting quests and using it as a bed, I would definitely put sheets in it, as I would even the softest cover. As of now, I’m giving it five stars despite the loose threads, but that might change if the quality changes. As of now, I’d say I’m very happy with it.

Futon cover
The fabric is wonderful. I washed it to remove the heavy creasing and went to put it on and it has a seam tear. See photos. I will mend it so I'm hoping this isn't an indication of future tearing. I'll definitely post an update on the fit and ease of putting on.
