CBS001B Precision Digital Bathroom Scale with Enlarged LCD & Comfort Plus Platform, 440 lb

The scale came with a dead battery. It was a hassle to go get one. Otherwise I really love this scale. It is large and easy to read. Shipping was slow.

This is a beautiful, sleek, useful addition to my home, but does not work as I originally intended. My old bathroom scale was over 60 years old, quite cumbersome, showed weight only as long as you stood on it, and not always correct. Because of diabetes, my Vet recommended that I weigh my little dog regularly, saying I could use a bathroom scale. I bought this particular model because of the large size. I thought she could sit on it, however she refuses to sit and wants to stand. Seemingly that way the weight is not distributed correctly and it shows a 0. However, this scale is so thin it is no problem for me to pick up my 20 lb. dog (I am 87 years old) and step on the scale for our combined weight. The total displays for a minute or so after I step off. I then weigh myself and subtract one from the other. Works great. My home is carpeted. It may be useful for others to know that this scale needs to be placed on a firm flat surface to give correct weight. I have placed it on an enclosed porch and it works fine.

I bought it after seeing the almost perfect ratings. For the first 3 months, it was great and very accurate. I was happy with my purchase. But last week all of a sudden it was off by 20lbs. My dad who is usually 187lbs was 209lbs. He checked his weight again the very next day and it was 190lbs. My weight was off by 5lbs too and almost gave me a heart attack thinking I have gained 5lbs. Next day, it was back to my normal weight. We decided to change the place thinking that might help but the inaccuracies were still there. I decided to contact the seller because it comes with a warranty but couldn't find a way to reach him. While I was at it, I decided to read the 5 stars reviews thinking why other people love it while I am having issues. Surprised to see alot of 5 stars reviewer had received this product for free in return for their reviews. Everyone will give it a 5 star after getting it for free. This create dishonesty and inaccuraries. I shot an email to Amazon right away about this issue and they were amazing in helping me solve it. These Amazon reviews mean nothing now.

Scale is very nice, but ...1) Display does not light up - if you are weighing early in the morning you have to turn the light on to read the display.2) Very large - 15½" wide x 12 x 1" - since there are no bells & whistles, not sure why it's so big .. maybe b/c it weighs up to 440#.3) No memory - Does not remember your previous weight to show your weight loss or gain.4) You do have to tap on scale first to start the display and wait until 00's appear.Overall, it's nice - aesthetically appealing - and if you just want a basic scale, this one will work for you.

The weight is not accurate and there is no way to correct it.

This is a great scale! Nice size, easy to read, does the job. Even looks nice on the floor. No complaints :)

I stepped on it and immediately got an ERR message. According to the instructions this means that you're over its weight capacity. I weigh approximately 200 lbs. The weight limit on this thing is SUPPOSED to be 440 lbs. I took the battery out, reinserted it, tried again a few times - same thing. I've already set up a refund and return.
