Not a complete product.
Doesn't come with the nuts, retainers to hold them into the sides of the bucket. Nor do they have to gasket to prevent leaking. You only get half of a product. ... search for a complete product. Don't buy this one.

Excellent product
The best poultry waterer I've tried so far. I tried nipples ones and cups with gravity fill ones. The fact that my birds ( hens and quails ) has to poke the tab to get water saved a lot of waste as well as socking wet under the pipes. For about 20 quails, I used to have to fill up 5 gallon bucket every week. Now with this things, every 3 weeks. Pay for itself with the water saved.

Poorly constructed
Out of the twelve 5 were not put together well and two were not useable. I was very disappointed in the quality

Does not work
The little piece that the chicken suppose to peck on does not stand straight out .. it is always against the bottom of the cup. So to get water to come out, you actually have to grab it and pull up. Chicken don't have hands to grab the yellow piece and pull UP. They peck down on it. Reason this don't work is the quality of this product is so low. The spring is worthless, it doesn't hole that piece straight.

great concept, didn't work for me
I decided to build a new watering system for my 100 birds and I thought I would try these. I really had grand idea's with these cups but they just didn't work for me. Within a couple hours of building a system for them, three of the small yellow sticks had already popped off making them unusable. One was broken on arrival and the other two were pulled out by thirsty chickens. Once the stick pops off water just drains slowly flooding your coop. What's even worse is that if you are like me and you use all the cups supplied you screw yourself because there is no way to stop the flooding unless you have spare cup ready. At least with the old standard nipples, if they break they don't flood your coop. I can possibly see this working with ducks or a very small flock. For me though, the high possibility of breaking, flooding and chickens losing all their water highly outweighs anything positive from them. I'm going back to the standard nipples that work just fine.

Saves me a great deal of time.
Used them for my quail. The plunger stays in the down position all the time water or not.I reached in to lightly push it to either side to fill up the cup two or three times. The quail got the hang of it rather quickly.Reason only 4 stars is due to one leaking. Had to replace it. Have them all hooked up in series to a 3 gallon bucket about 1 foot higher than my 9 compartment cage that houses 60 birds.Saves a great deal of time.Would buy again.

OUTWEST TRADING Automatic Chicken Waterers
OUTWEST TRADING Automatic Chicken Waterers work great for my baby chickens... At first it seemed like they weren't using them so I kept a backup waterer in the brooder. I took the waterer out to clean and refill it and in that short amount of time upon returning they were drinking from them like they should. This is how I water all my chickens now, but in the beginning a backup water is a good idea until they learn how things work...

Good idea but they don't work
I would never buy these again. The problems are....they leak where the thread into the bucket. The video calls out a 3/8 hole to be drilled however that's to large it needs to be a size smaller. They don't come with a nut for the back side when installed in the bucket. If you don't install a nut it will start leaking after a couple of days. Out of the 12 I purchased four didn't work.I think it's a great idea however these are so cheaply made, its more frustrating than there worth.....just saying.
