Definitely a book you will struggle to put down. It is very well written and captivates the mind. I thought initially that it would take a while to get through, but I finished the book in four days. LOL! Highly recommended, but a little warning, it will be handy to use google, and a French and Latin translator to understand some phrases here and there. Still worth the effort though.

Loved Szepes style of writing. Articulately weaves historical people and events into a fascinating story that does not disappoint. I highly recommend this book to anyone it holds very interesting spiritual truths as well

I have not finished reading this book. It is well written and so far it has kept my interest and I look forward to reading it every night. It centers around an individual that comes across the elixir of life and the story seems to unfold from there. If your interest is in the mystics this may be a book for you. The five stars is because the book is very well written and it resonates with me. The characters are colorful and well developed.

A beautiful and instructional read. Ideas of alchemy are portrayed as part of a psychological mystical journey from initiate to master. The writing is great, poetic and captivating. I not only enjoyed reading the book but gleaned many insights. I would call this a spiritually profound work worth the time of any initiate looking for material that weaves a complex array of spiritual concepts into a cohesive unity of practical thought and application in a modern world. The metaphors of mental transformation this work provides are powerfully visual and stick with the reader as the story progresses through its phases of reincarnation and multiple spiritual rebirths on increasingly higher planes of consciousness.

Throughly enjoyed the ideas surrounding one person's journey through several lifetimes involving mysticism, spiritually, the occult, the afterlife, and the human experience.

This story is somehow remarkably familiar and yet I know I’ve never read anything quite like it. Simply as a fascinating concept, it is worth the read. However, the writing is so vivid and lucid that I found myself wanting to believe it was actually somehow a work of nonfiction.I know I will reread this one a few times over the years.

A great story about alchemy and circle of life. Worth a read, very interesting and captivating writing. One wonders if this happened in real life.

I have waited years for it to be reprinted, and I am so happy to finally have it in my hands. For my one on the spiritual path, it is a treasure.
