Quick swap with my crashed hard drive; runs great; free upgrade
Even though I ordered a 160GB hard drive to swap my crashed hard drive out with, they must've not had one of the same size in stock. I received a 185GB for free. It was easy to swap out on my Dell laptop and it runs just fine. Great price. Quick shipping. Thank you.

Fast new hard disk driver
This puppy runs circles around the old 2006 one. No complaints and easy install but I did scrub the whole laptop and replace all software. Made like a new laptop.

I purchased this to upgrade an older Dell Latitude D630, as it was advertised as compatible with this model.Unfortunately, it was not and no modification would make it "plug 'n play". Wrong drive - probably mislabeled bysomeone along the way.

Beware: You may get a "recertified" drive, not new.
Beware that while some vendors on Amazon are advertising these drives as "new" you may receive a drive labeled "recertified" or something similar - such as the one I got from Hard Drive Geeks. I was assuming that these were new, old stock Dell drives, which were mostly sourced from Seagate. This drive was labeled as from Cloverhitech.com - a Chinese company that sells "refurbished" hard drives from Samsung and puts their labels on them. A "refurbished" drive may in fact be a new drive that didn't quite meet specs from the manufacturer. But it may also be a warranty return that tested OK in a quick surface test. In any case it isn't a "new" drive, and you may have problems - most commonly bad sectors showing up, which can eventually lead to total failure. Especially since the drive has obviously gone through a long shipping life between manufacturing, return, and refurbishing locations. I decided not to take a chance and returned the drive since it was not accurately described. New means new, not refurbished. I would contact the vendor first to make sure what you are getting. I only use Seagate drives since I've had problems in the past with nearly all other brands.

I would not use one of these in a Latitude ...
I would not use one of these in a Latitude E6510. Found out the hard way, that particular laptop requires an SSD to function correctly.

There is no instructions.
I wont waste your time, if this is what you want you will have to know what you doing there's no instructions with it there's no website to go to for instructions. I got help by using YouTube an exact description of the item. Luckily you can do this for most products. Instructions it's still difficult to do but I got it done good luck
