Good so far
So far I'm pretty impressed. I bought this for use on a cub cadet wheeled string trimmer and this line seems to break less than the line that came with the machine (which is supposedly good line). The downside is it may not cut quite as well? That's mostly just my very limited impression, but between slightly less efficient cutting and much less breakage, I'll take less breakage, thanks!

This stuff kicks scrubble butt!
I bought these for an older Troy-built Trimmer mower. This cord is thick, so at first, I thought it wasn't going to fit in the 'ball' holes. With a bit of wiggling while pushing, all the sudden it popped through the 'out' hole and I was in business. I started going after several dozen of the 'slightly thicker than a pencil' baby oak trees and this cord cut through them like it was a laser. I stopped after a bit to check how much damage was done to the cord and honestly, there wasn't one fraction of an inch removed from them. I could still easily see the marks I made when snipping the 23" sections off the master roll. I plan on clearing a LOT of land with this Cyclone cord this Winter. Even so, a 315 foot roll will last me many, many years because it's so strong.Nice job, Cyclone!

Good stuff
I have an Echo SRM 410U weed eater that has performed beautifully for 3 years. I have been using Echo .105" Cross Fire string with a bump head that has not lived up to my expectations on heavy stemmed weeds. In an hour of use I was having the string break off about 12 times inside the head which leaves broken pieces of string all over the place and is a big interruption to work. I contacted Echo (not responsive or helpful customer support) and was told that the string that I had bought this spring might be old making it brittle. They recommended I soak the string in water. The vendor that I purchased the string from assured me that it was not old; that they have a high product turnover rate. With soaking the string the breakage rate did maybe drop by 1/3 but was still a major hindrance to work. I decided to go to a fixed head and purchased an Echo Rapid loader head that was rated for up to .155" string. I also purchased Cyclone .155" string. The Rapid Loader head turns out to have a rapid unloader mode where the string flings off. I took the rapid loader apart and it doesn't look to me like it was designed for string larger than .105". I am returning my Echo Rapid Unloader. I have admired the Oregon chain saw bar and chain products and ordered the Oregon 55-130 fixed head for my weed eater. It is made of metal, simple and reliable. I put 18" of the Cyclone string in the head and it lasted for about one hour of extra heavy duty weed eating. After one hour I am ready for a break anyway. I highly recommend the Oregon head and the Cyclone .155" string for heavy duty weed eating.

Trusted the previous reviewers and I'm happy with product
Fit my cub cadet string mower perfectly. I ran out of the factory cut string which worked well, but this string really demolished overgrown brush with less effort.

A great way to go if you do a lot of whacking
This is the only way to go when it comes to using a commercial weed whacker. It's both cost-effective and efficient. The cord doesn't break often (usually only when it comes into contact with a metal object!) and it does a great job on heavy plant matter like wild sunflower stalks and vines. You will need a heavy-duty pair of snips to cut it, as it is thick. Great stuff.

Best Way to Buy Your Brush Mower Cord!
Quickly shipped, good price, best way to get your string trimming cord!! Only drawback is: you have to have wire snips and a strong wrist to snip the cord into the proper lengths. If my husband wasn't around, I think I could still do it, but...it would take me much, much longer than it does him (I'm almost 60 and have carpal tunnel in both wrists) and I wouldn't be able to do 20 in one sitting as he does (more like 4). Still like it greatly though!

This stuff is amazing
I can whack about 1/4 acre of very tough shrubbery, weeds, briars and brambles with each 18" length of this line (using a 33cc engine weed whacker). I have found using this line to be easier than using my brush cutter for all brush up to 1/8 inch diameter. It seems indestructible (avoiding rocks and rough tree trunks).A warning though. You need to be sure to thread this line correctly into the weed whacker head or it will break off prematurely. Took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong. If you have a powerful enough machine, this is the line for all your whacking chores. Be sure to wear face protection. It kicks up everything in its path including bits of glass and stones.
