Best chalk for chalkboards; no dust, no noise!
I'm a teacher and I don't like touching chalk but I find that yours is the best and I love that it writes even when the chalkboard is wet. The best part though, is it doesn't make a squeaky noise when I'm writing. Thanks for such a great product!

Writes like chalk but doesn't behave like chalk.
These look like chalk but don't feel like chalk. They feel much smoother, like a crayon. I compared them side by side with standard chalk. They both wrote similar but they don't erase the same. The butter stix didn't erase at all without water. This would make it nice for teachers who want to erase certain parts of their work but not other parts. I had to use water to erase the butter stix and it still left a faint picture. I would use these if I wanted something that couldn't just be erased by a swipe but if I were demonstrating or teaching an idea and needed to erase often, I wouldn't use these. They're good depending on the need.

Awful chalk, could barely see what I was writing

Doesn’t erase completely.
Looks great. Doesn’t stick well to walls. Brand new home with clean walls and wont stick. Also leaves quite a bit of residue after erasing and doesn’t erase the chalk markers well. I can still see the words from last month.

Good chalk but goodness it's expensive.
This is nice chalk and it truly feels good to write with! Not squeaky, dusty, etc. But at about a dollar a stick, I can't really recommend it unless you're using it for art purposes rather than school/kid purposes.

Fragile like chalk
These dust free chalk sticks are really nice in texture. Not dusty and chalky like regular chalk. They’re super smooth to the touch, and smooth when writing with them as well. Unfortunately mine came in broken. This doesn’t change the ability to use them. But they’re just as fragile as regular chalk sticks. I would still recommend them!
