Yard Island Solar LED Edison Bulb Large Hanging Cage Lantern (Style 4)

Loved the look of this lantern on line. I received and discovered it is not made very well. The cage around the lightbulb is metal, but the top compartment that holds the battery is plastic. It’s not worth $35.00 in my opinion. It has been out in the sun for three days and still doesn’t work. As others have stated, there are no instructions included. For these reasons, I’m returning it.

Bought these to replace lantern style solar light that were not working anymore. These are unique and very subtle, but still light up the front porch. These usually bur for 4 to 5 hours.

Hung on my backyard patio. Absolutely love these. They have an on/off switch, the LED bulb is plastic so no fear of it breaking. Lightweight. Some of the reviews I read said they look cheap. Not at all. I was very impressed. They don’t give off a super bright light, but that’s the look I was going for. See photos.

I love this, it looks so nice hanging from my gazebo. At night (when I'm in for the evening) I'm continuously looking out my window because it brings such an attractive lighting to my patio and gazebo. I've noticed the other reviews and at one point (the first two days) I thought to return it. However on day two I realized I had to turn it on. Day 3, I set it out to receive full sunlight and once the sun went down, it light for nearly six hours. Once I hung it in the gazebo, it received sunlight.....not as much so it only stays lit for three hours and the instructions does indicate so. In all I'm pleased with my purchase.

So far it won’t stay lit more than an hour after dusk here in Cape Cod. Hoping for longer time as the summer approaches.Update now that summer is here the light comes on at dusk and stays lit for about 6 hours.

The cage is not symmetrical and similar lamps can be purchased at Five Below stores for 1/10th the price.I am thinking of returning. We liked the style of the cage and the rope. But I could put a rope on the lamps at a discount store. The light is the right brightness.

This came with no instructions at all. I had to scroll through all the comments and questions in order to set this up. It has been placed in 3 different locations and has never even given a glimpse of light. Inside the bulb the coils did not line up. Would not recommend in any way, shape, or form.

We bought this for our screen porch. Not only is it functional, but it adds to our decor! It could be a bit brighter - hence the four stars instead of five, but I may in the future purchase another couple of them for more light. All in all we’re pretty satisfied with this light!
