Arch support for sure ! The first few days I felt some soreness in the middle of my foot, the highest arch area and I realized it is because there is actually a support structure there touching the arch. For maybe the first time I was getting firm arch support. Now I have adjusted to that. As to plantar problems, that is an area that seems to have dozens of " answers" and none of them are the same. Most do agree that plantar soreness leading to heel soreness starts with the plantar being over stretched, so one has to think it is a good idea to support area with these shoes. So I would recommend getting these shoes, wearing them hours a day and trying to speed up healing with the other multiple strategies... heat, cold,stretch, rest,compression, night splint, orthotics, and so on. Try to find something that works for you is all anyone seems to be able to say.

That being said, I could wish the adjusting straps were a bit shorter. I have to pull them to their max to get the sandal snug enough. Doing that almost exceeds the velcro contact area. They do catch and hold however so they are serviceable.

Were recommended to me by someone who has suffered from plantar faciitis. I did have cold laser therapy on mine as well but I bought 2 pairs of Vionic shoes and they're both extremely comfortable. I'm wearing the walking shoes now!

I was in pain with Plantar Fasciitis and these sandals help relieve that condition the first time I wore them. Real good arch support.....I guess that's what I was missing. I love the ease of putting these on and off, the Velcro is a real nice feature.

So far it is really good. I always wear green Superfeet on my shoes but I like to wear sandals most of the time so this works really well for me.

Very comfortable, but straps are far too long - particularly around heel. Functional, but don't look great.
